I expected something different. Coming from Belgrade, Serbia, I expected something similar to Ada Ciganlija Lake - a recreational area with lots of restaurants and sports facilities where people come to socialize. However, Jarun is much less social and more peaceful. I wanted to have...More

We enjoyed our tram ride to Jarun Lake, going through residential areas and such. And we were surprised at how many locals were walking, and just hanging out there. Very peaceful, with just a cafe and place selling ice creams. Warning: there were no restaurants...More

Staying in Zagreb for a few days and decided to check out Jarun. It was an easy tram ride from the main train station area. Once there, was a nice walk around the lake. Quiet and scenic.

A beautiful lake, not so far from the center of Zagreb. It is very popular in summer days for those who like o walk, run or ride bycicles. You can also find some great clubs there!

This is primarly sport location for recreatives and serious athletes, but also, that is the place for a night out, barbecues, families etc. What I, as an sport active person, mind here is that asphalt is poor, ruined and cars drive around cyclists and rolers...More
