A pretty little square with a small fountain and a very imposing statue of Josip Jelcic in the middle.

Monument is an old equestrian statue with local hero Jelačić. Many big cities have similar monuments. It is popular meeting spot for locals.

Our hotel is 5 mins walk to Jelacic Square. Here you can see their trains, people walking in trench coats, in boots and fashion everywhere. Whether is amazing. The statue of Ban Jelacic is at the center. Old buildings are surrounded the square.

The lovely square only a ten minute walk from my Hotel (Esplanade). Sat at a cafe for an extended time to chat with locals and people watch. A great time!

Thank Paul R
