The shortest cable car in the world. or over 120 years it has been transporting the citizens of Zagreb between the Upper and Lower Town. It departs daily every 10 minutes.

How can you not like a funicular? Great views of the city the whole way up/down? It's not that expensive and offers great opportunities for photos.

This is a very very short ride up or down. There are stairs too. But it's worth getting up there to see the city views. Do it!

The funicular offers a fun way to get from the lower town to the upper town, while offering great sweeping vistas of the entire city. Highly recommend taking the funicular up and then walking down.

It quirky, quick (55 seconds) but saves a big climb up to the upper town. This sweet little funicular costs very little, and runs every 10 minutes, in theory up to 10 pm. although they tend to wind up soon after 9:30. Worth using to...More

Apparently the shortest funicular in the world, or one of the shortest in any case, and although it is a short ride, if you are walking around Zagreb, it's a fun way to go up or down. Apparently a staple of the centre for years,...More

We did not use it, but passed by it to go from upper town to lower town. The stairs next to it are very romantic.

A good way to get to the top of the hill. The wait was short, and the trip was comfortable even though the car was full. A decent view at the top. Beats walking.

Very infrequent service. One way tickets only. This train, nevertheless, could save you a very steep long climb.

Like the funicular railway at Montmartre in Paris, it's really a pleasure to jump in and get at the top in about 2 minutes.

My apologies for the delay in replying; I had not seen your message! The chap above has answered you pretty well, there is a ticket sales office at both ends of the short ride and there's always a helpful attendant around... More
