Besides the fact that its an old and beautiful cemetery in which are burried people of the 3 main religions, it is also hosting some of the great artists of Croatia's statues and works of art such as Mestrivic, Augustini and Radus. The cemitery has walls around it and even if u dont have too much time to visit, its... More

Amazing architecture, almost like another world (how bizarre to say it but true), and definitely worth to visit a cemetery which is different than any other you've ever seen. One of those places you should visit before you die. Trust me.

This cemetery is a bit out of town. You can get a tram from the main square and then you have to get off by the hospital and walk uphill a bit. It's a nice area. The cemetery itself is an absolutely stunning building with wonderful memorials. It's very peaceful to walk around, even though there are quite a few... More

Many locals were visiting the cemetery when we came here. The bus leaves beside the cathedral, it was free at that time and takes about 15 minutes to the cemetery. Locals were very helpful. This place is beautiful.

Do not miss this gorgeous cemetery. It is on the edge of town but easily reached by bus. Due to the many conflicts Croatia has been in, there are thousands of family crypts all beautifully tended. It is a peaceful place, good for reflection.

Up on the hill, with perfect overview of the old part of Zagreb, you will find resting place of our bellowed. Take a rest and recharge with hope during the slow walk. We are proud how we honour our dearest through the centuries and visit them very often. Whole cemetery still have a soul of „old times“ and interesting headstones.

We were able to visit at dusk on Nov 01 - all saints day. This place is HUGE and BEAUTIFUL. Every single grave is beautiful - they do cherish the departed. At night every grave had flowers and candles (probably just this time of year). The graves seemed endless - there are so many, and the architecture is stunning. A... More

Its a place of silence, hugged with sorrow and wailing for our dears who are not with us anymore. Cemetery have long history and beautiful design. Sometimes its a perfect place for long walks, time for lonelyness.
