Not a lot to excite in here. Couple of lesser Breugel paintings and a pukka Teniers. Lot of 'school of' stuff and even the one work by Patinir rather questionable. Paintings could do with a good clean. Bit cheeky asking for an entrance fee (30k)...More

The building is not very attractive. Inside, a nice collection from the 14th to the 19th century. Lots of Flemish School masters. But also Fra Angelico, Carpeaux, Courbet, Corot,... Well worth spending an hour.

A fairly good, although a small, collection of old masters. The visit was substantially undermined by the poor light. If you came to Zagreb just for a day or two, better go to some other museum, that is, if you feel thirsty for art or...More

If you are interested in the Old Masters, this is the best place to view them in Zagreb. Some very high quality paintings, much better then the Mimara Museum. This gallery is in the Academy of Arts and Sciences building.

I found almost nothing worthwhile in this collection aside from a few of the miniatures from written manuscripts. most paintings in desparate need of restoration as well. pretty second tier stuff. save your time and money for the Modern.

This is a collection of beautiful pieces from the 12th century to the 19th century, including some old masters. The early religious work is exquisite. It is well organized and covers one floor and can be viewed in an hour and a half or so.

The opening hours (10-1) are incredibly irritating, especially for those on tight schedules, but this collection is worth the time. It spans medieval altarpieces, Renaissance Italian art including Titians, and includes a number of Flemish Masters. It should only take you 45 minutes.
