The church and the square it lies in are beautiful, at least from the outside. When we visited on a Thursday afternoon,it was not possible to go inside. It is on the same square as the Croatian government buildings. Awesome roof!

If you can ever find this church actually open, then good luck! The roof and the carvings over the door are spectacular to see from the outside, but if you want to go in, I'd give up. The church website says it has a daily mass at 18:00. It doesn't. At least not on any of the three days I... More

This is another must see location whilst in Zagreb. Try & see it if possible on a sunny day, as the roof is so colourful & bright & it really stands out. It's a very popular spot, so can get busy.

The church is in the upper town and an easy walk from the Central Square, or take the Funicular. The area around the church is a bit dead as there are only government buildings surrounding it, but the church itself is magnificent from the outside. The highlight is the very colourful roof, which is much younger than the church itself... More

This church is Zagreb's famous icon. It's unique when are heading the church, climbing the street, and the colorful roof appears. It was closed when I went there so I dont know if it's possible to visit inside. All the buildings that surrounds the church and the square belong to the government - the parliament is there.

Really loved how The German architect redid the roof top ..can't distinguish the style. I collect t fridge magnets and I know I need my magnet... More

This is the parish church of old Zagreb. It is noted for its specific architectural style combining Romanesque and gothic influences. The Romanesque window found in its south facade is the best evidence that the church must have been built as early as the 13th century; In the second half of the 14th century, the church was radically reconstructed, turned... First impression, the roofttop is so pretty for a church and to me, it looks like lego brick on it. So pretty. But i guess it was close as we went a bit too late. But there are an army of guards outside the church doing some rehersal for some events coming up.

Unfortunately we were unable to go inside this church but it is a beautiful tiled roof on the building located in upper town.
