    Better to walk.
    Poorly trained staff with particularly little patience for tourists. Flixbus sells digital tickets advising acceptable for boarding, however will not accept anything less than printed tickets. Be warned or be left at the bus station with little discussion other than a closed door like me and my wife. A poor bus line where everyone seemed to know upon travelling. Once bitten, twice shy. Catch a train and avoid the stress.

    Be careful when you purchase long way tickets, you might stand for 3 h!
    They sold more tickets than seats available on the bus. So people meant to be standing for 3 hours in the hallway. They sell tickets with the numbers, however when you enter the bus they tell you sit wherever you want or stand. When I approached the driver, he said that he doesn’t care whether you stand or not, he has been driving for 10 hours to Germany. The worst experience ever. I think even in countries like Moldova or Romania they are more professional.

    Flixbus does the absolute bare minimum. Bad wifi, no toilet paper, no soap and hidden charges when you arrive.
    Hidden costs, no accountability, dirty bus, no toilet paper or hand-soap. FLIX does the bare minimum for its customers. And they make it almost impossible to file a complaint. Every bus I’ve been on with them has a filthy bathroom with no way to wash hands, or even toilet paper. Very dissatisfied.

    How to fleece tourists Flixbus style
    Flixbus look smart and we booked our bus from Split to Dubrovnic late on Wed 21st for 8.00am bus on Friday 22nd. By Thursday lunch they had cancelled the bus and offered a 5.30am start or a 12.30pm start. These didn’t work with our schedule so we requested a refund. We were offered a voucher and Flixbus avoided a refund. We appealed the outcome online but were advised they could only offer a voucher. We did manage to go with an alternative provider called Bookaway who had a bus running at 8.00am but we’re so disappointed in the Flixbus approach. It just seemed they were geared to fleecing tourists. They advised that after careful consideration that our request for a refund of #100 was rejected. Very disappointing as the overall customer service in Croatia was excellent. Rant over.

    They sells additional space twice
    I bought a ticket, as well as an additional seat (a trip of more than 24 hours from Kyiv to Berlin). Flixbus sold my place again to another person and it was a very unpleasant surprise. They also kept my extra seat money and sent me a code for my next trip!! that is, they stole my money, earned money twice, I am going on a long trip in a very uncomfortable position. Shame!

    Not worth the money
    FlixBus is always delayed in Croatia, and act non-professional. I would recommend any other bus company. They also charge you extra for choosing your own seat when booking, but when you board the bus, it's always just free seating.

    Horrible experience
    Do not book with this company! It was through their own fault that their bus was delayed over 2hrs, I had a connection bus and missed it because of this delay (it was a connection with another FlixBus). I tried getting through to them on their live chat however was continuously told I was not on the first bus??? I sent them a photo to prove I was sitting on the bus and they closed the chat. Ended up having to get a new bus ride last minute at a high price and now working on getting a refund although the reviews above say that it is highly unlikely you’ll get it. Very stressful bus ride, don’t bother with them! This ride was in Croatia.

    A sauna in the back of the buss and a driver that wont turn on the AC.
    The bus was late and it did not arrive on the platform that it was supposed to do the first time we traveled from Zagreb. On top of that it took a major detour on our way to split that delayed our arrival by 1h… we all ready booked the tickets back to Zagreb 2 weeks later and the we booked seats in the back of the bus, it was a freaking disaster… it was a sauna in the back, you could’nt breath! Some of the passengers asked the driver if he could turn on the ac in the back, because people we’re dying from the heat! The driver did turn on the ac, for about 30 seconds and then he turned it off again. I mean, why?? What’s the point? He kept on doing the same for the entire trip and it all ended up with 25 people smelling like a toilet, (including me and my girlfriend) when we arrived in Zagreb. If you can, find another company to travel with.

    Sauna bus ride
    Took the bus from Dubrovnik to Split. Bus driver was rude to me initially yelling when I tried to ask where I can put my luggage and gestured me to just get on the bus. During the ride the air conditioning was blowing hot air (in 30 degree heat). Members of the bus told the driver and we had to drive for about 45 minutes in a literal sauna before we got let off to breathe on the highway. The 30 degree heat felt half as hot as the bus. My boyfriend and I were drifting in and out of consciousness and could not believe this was happening. The bus driver tried to organise another bus for us to get on as everyone would have passed out if we were left on the same bus but we had to get back on the bus for another half hour before this happened. The air con was eventually fixed on the ride back but this was one of the worst experiences. From seeing other reviews it looks like this is a common Flixbus experience

    The driver was smoking and no one cares.
    I was very disappointed with this company. I needed to change my time and I was charged basically double to do so. Then the bus driver had 3 cigarettes ON THE BUS. I sat there with a cloth over my face trying not to inhale. I would have gotten off but it was dark outside in a city I didn't know. I needed up getting sick the next day and coughed up phlegm for 2 weeks after. Part of my trip was ruined as I needed to spend a few days in bed resting. The company has done nothing to apologize or rectify the situation. Find another company.

Bf and I weren't able to seat together because some people had seat reservatisons, which was based on where you buy the ticket, not how much you pay

We have not travelled this leg yet! But beware we booked and paid for bus seats from Zagreb to Venice (5.5hrs)on top of our tickets. Today received an email and they have cancelled our reservation and seated us separately. This is the second trip completed and we were placed in seperate seats (dubrovnik to split 6hrs) on the first trip!! Unbelievable!

We have booked another trip and paid another 15 euro for reserved seats, will let you know how we go!

The "panorama" seats are booked for the second time, and the seats marked with the numbers 1A, 1B, 1C and 1D (panorama seats) are in the second row 😂 when booking, the seats are shown as the first seats, but in the bus those same seats don't have a number at all. Please explain to me, what does PANORAMA mean to you Flixbus!? BTW, the reservation costs from 6 to 18 euros!! Normal ones are 3-4 euros.

Very rude staff that is hard to communicate with. Poor ventilation (smells bad and is pretty hot inside), No regulation and consequences for rude customers (very loud and impolite people. One of them was resting their feet on the edge of my seat, nothing was done about that, still that is not such a critic of the staff as much as it is of the passengers.) Drivers are very quick to anger and have little regard for the passengers, when the driver was passing the bus isle he had no problem bumping people across their shoulders or the side of their heads. ( he really could have moved a bit or could have asked politely for them to move). The only good side is that the drive was safe and that is the most important thing so that is the reason for my 2/5 rating. All in all there are definitely better and equally safe options out there.

En-route delay of 2 hrs, drivers in discussion with police, non-compliance, who knows what? No explanation at whatsoever! Filthy ablution facilities

Currently on a FlixBus from Zadar to Split. The bathroom door is locked. When I approached the driver to question this he stated the door was locked and there was no plan to stop for a bathroom break. I’m not the only person needing to use the bathroom as we just passed a gas station with WC’s.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of traveling with FlixBus from Dubrovnik to Split, and it was undoubtedly the worst 4-hour journey of my life. We were assigned 6 seats in the most cramped and suffocating area of the bus, on the lower floor next to the toilet. This section of the bus only had 8 seats, and it was clear that this area was not designed for a comfortable travel experience.

The cleanliness of the bus was appalling. Upon boarding, we found food bits scattered on the seats and tables, and the air was thick with a suffocating smell. To make matters worse, the odor from the toilet next to our seats was unbearable. Throughout the journey, passengers frequently used the toilet, which only exacerbated the already terrible smell.

We informed the bus driver about the situation at the first stop, but he was helpless and simply said, "I know."

Enduring this for four hours was an ordeal. The proximity to the toilet and no ventilation made it almost impossible to breathe comfortably. This experience was far from what one would expect when paying for a bus ticket, and it felt like we were subjected to substandard conditions despite paying the same fare as everyone else.

I strongly believe that these seats should not be allocated to any passengers. It's unfair and unacceptable to subject anyone to such discomfort and poor conditions. I hope FlixBus takes this feedback seriously and makes necessary changes to improve the travel experience for all passengers.

I can say only NO NO NO ....dont use flixbus worst that exists ,rude and arogant drivers ,shouting at customers ,toilets full of excrement ,no wifi, drivers wont let you off the bus in stations even though i have medical papers that i need to strech every 3h! They just going dont even change between them...i think the law says for couches and buses every 4 h they need to take a brake or change! I will never use it again!

I had read some bad reviews about Flixbus. We were in Zagreb and wanted to get to Split. We visited the bus station and booked two seats, not knowing what bus it would be. A flixbus arrived, we loaded our luggage and found seat next to each other. (It’s a free for all) We departed on time and on the motorway the speed and driving was excellent, we stopped for a 15min break on the way at a service station. Once off the motorway the winding roads were a little more erratic but our driver was considerate and careful. Wi-Fi on board and air conditioning. The only negative was USB sockets not working. Overall a very pleasant experience.
