Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The anglicized name is Seven Saints Church. The church was named for St. Cyril and Methodius and their five disciples, thus the name. The church was built in 1901/02 and was originally an Ottoman Mosque. By mid 1903 it was converted into an orthodox church. The original mosque, as The Black Mosque, had its beginnings in the 16th century with the intention of being more impressive then the Christian Churches. This is therefore one of the most beautiful churches in Sofia.

This didn’t show up on any visitor sites and we stumbled upon it by accident one day. The interior is very pretty and in great condition. It is set in a lovely small park too. Definitely worth a visit.

We came across this church quite by chance as it was not detailed on the tourist map of attractions by the hotel. We all agreed that this was indeed one of the most beautiful churches we had seen in Sofia. The interior of this church is absolutely stunning.
Without doubt, visit this church you will not be disappointed!

The church was built in 1528 as a mosque. In 1903 it became a church. There is a very nice lively garden in front of it.

I came across this church by chance, while looking for something else. It was a pleasant discovery. Unlike the Alexander Nevski church, the walls and roof are still bright (not blackened by the candle smoke) and the paintings can be seen clearly. Best of all - you are not prohibited from taking pictures inside, unlike other churches. So you can show your friends and family how beautiful Bulgarian Orthodox churches are from the inside too!

It is beautiful architecture from the green roof to the bricks out side but the most worths to mention is the inside interior. I was lucky to be there at the right time for their service Sunday morning. It was very moving. You feel like you were throwing back to another country in the period of around 100 years ago. Make sure you make time for this church.

Due to the ongoing construction works in the center of Sofia, this place is hard to reach. The best way to visit the church is if you enter from Parensov Str. and the Ministry o Interior.
