Beautiful from the outside but, unfortunately, it was Saturday so we weren't able to go in. Right by the market.

Big and impressive synagogue building right in the center of Sofia. It's visible from a distance, really cool.

Absolutely beautiful old synagogue. If you have a chance, it is well worthwhile listening to the custodian when he tells you about the history of the synagogue and the Jewish community of Sofia.

We specifically walked to this synagogue but it is small and just OK. We paid our 4 BGN but spent very little time here. If you have the interest.....do it!

A beautiful, understated synagogue. An old man told us about its history and how Sofia's Sephardic Jews were treated during WW11 - altogether very interesting

Have visited during a short break in Sofia. It looked as if it was closed but when we entered the security told us we can visit inside. He was very kind and welcoming. The ticket was 2 or 3 lev. It is the largest synagogue...More
