Do not miss this elegant church! It is a quick visit and just a 3 minute walk from the Cathedral Saint Alexandar Nevski. It is much smaller than the nearby cathedral but what it lacks in size it makes up for in intrigue. Go to...More

The church itself is decorated richly and interestingly, used a lot of gold in there. The real curiosity is under the church: there is a tomb of a well known orthodox saint, which is visited by lots of priests and religious people, they can even...More

This cute little Orthodox church is remarkable for its miracle-maker reputation. Of course, I took the opportunity to make my own wishes. It has beautiful facade I had difficulty taking my eyes off it as I walked around it. Be sure to visit while in...More

It's tiny, very central and, I think, a must-see. Because of its size it won't take long, but it's worth it. Beautiful outside and cool, calm and serene inside.

A beautiful church. The entrance is free, you have to pay only for taking photography (10 leva?). Near of the centre.

Being used to the west-European architecture of churches, this church was lovely to visit. It is painted on all walls and ceilings.

While this wasn't typically Bulgarian which was the purpose of our visit the church was stunning and truly mesmerising in its beauty.

Beautiful building in the heart of the city. Even if you are just passing by, take 10-15 minutes to visit the church. Curious fact about this place - people often go there to leave notes, praying on the tomb of the late archbishop Serafim, who...More

We only stopped here for a short time as it was the end of the day and they were preparing to start a service. It was a lovely building, peaceful inside and beautiful on the outside. We would have spent more time at this small...More
