Beautiful on the outside but amazing inside. Brightly colored frescoes cover the walls and the church is just beautiful. You can take photos if you buy a permit but general entry is free.

Right outside the Balkan Hotel, this church is less ornate than others in Sofia, but still worth admiring while strolling down Vitosha Boulevard.

The inside of this church is amazing. Brighting wall paintings all over. It is a must go place for sure.

This may have been my favorite of the four religious sites I visited in Sofia. Even though the Cathedral Saint Alexander Nevski is visually stunning with its gold dome and patinaed roof, this smaller church in the heart of downtown is a quiet and charming...More

This church has beautiful frescos inside and interesting architecture. It is well worth a visit. It does not suffer from the nearness of a McDonald's.

When I visited, a funeral was taking place. It is an impressive church, which had to be rebuilt after a terrorist attack in 1925, which killed 120 people. It is a reminder that terrorism in not only a phenomenon of our age.

It's an interesting old church, almost Byzantine structure. Like many churches here, there's a golden altar. It seems that the central figure here is Mary, with various depictions where she is the focus.
