lots of snow, beautiful place ! the lifts were great and in working order, we didn't ski but I saw lots of happy faces around so I imagine is a great spot for skiing.

Visit the Seven Rila lakes. It is one of the most incredible places you can visit on this world. The route is easy.

Rila monastery....Rila lakes....white people....many hostel huts to stay in. Loved late night post hike camp fires. Loved the scenery. Loved the unbelievable waterfalls...rivers and forest walks. Monastery is a must...highly unusual....very beautiful and free.

Incredibly hot day in Sofia so decided on a trip to the mountains to take a hike to the 7 lakes. For a non-hiker it was tough but the views were simply magnificent, some of the best scenery we have ever seen.

we were hiking in the mountains for 3 days and even though we picked one of the "main" hiking tracks we met very few people , thus we could fully enjoy the nature
