it is almost impossible to reconcile the recent tragic past of the city with the elegant folks strolling this street and enjoying the multiple gelato places, restaurants and bars. and yet life must go on and an eternal flame helps us remember

Nice commercial street joining the old and the new part of Sarajevo ! Many restaurants , some open-air cafés and some pubs can be found Very clean and safe !

It is a total opposite of the eastern feel Baščaršija offers, just a few hundred meters away from it. Old city's shopping street, built in late 19th century Austro-Hungarian style, lots of nice coffee shops, cake shops, and everything else you can imagine.

The street is very smilar to Istiklal Street in Istanbul, there are many shops, restaurants, malls, museums on the way. But after 24:00, it is very hard to find an open market.
