One of the local markets, mostly inside, some outside, but all were cold! Christmas pageantry at its best, with real mulberry bushes and local cuisine. Definitely recommend this as part of your trip to Bucharest

The Komarovski market is not in the center, but little bit north. It's not a prime tourist spot, rather a place to get acquainted with local life, so I'd advise travelers to visit if having extra time left and have visited other attractions.
For those coming I'd suggest doing it at morning for breakfast. The place is huge - an enormous curved roof space reminding on a fair hall. It's divided into sections where you can find all kinds of meat products, dairy products, cafes and bakeries on the edges.
The sellers are very kind offering, almost forcing you to try their products. There are several bakeries - the Georgian being the best one with freshly made Kachanburi, their famous stuffed bread pie.

Went today. Walked about 30 mins to it from Old Town. Not bad. Place is pretty big. Lots of meats . A little bit of everything from sweets, fruits, flowers, household items and even a nice honey section. Outside just as big. Only thing was that I was bummed they didn't have more places to grab some food and eat there. Like a food court area or seating area. Its always nice to try the local stuff at the markets. Oh and the toilets are a horror show if you need to sit haha. Overall cool layout. There are ATMs there and I think the metro and buses go by there.

The best place to visit!
You could find everything there. There is all kind of delisious food. There is meats, milk, baked goods. There is fruites and veggies. You could find there everything you want.
Loved it!

Huge variety of honey on the second floor with a big honey sign on the front. Very tasty honey of different flavors. Friendly lady behind the desk. Never met a specialized honey shop of that sort. The honey in the other shop in front tasted kind of synthetic.

This market was a great place to pick up good quality fruit and vegetables, dairy, fish and cakes. I found using what little Russian I knew helpful, particularly at stalls when buying things sold by weight, but even when I couldn't figure out how to ask for something, stallholders were generally really accommodating and we'd figure it out. Many of the dairy and meat stallholders offered samples of their goods, which is great if you're keen to try before you buy.
Even if you're just going in to have a look around, it's worth a visit particularly if, like me, (I lived about a 15 minute walk away) - be sure to go inside as well as visiting the outside stalls. I follow the market on Instagram (@komarovka.by) - you can see what's on offer and in season.

This market has a great selection of meat products - though it is also possible to find good fruits and vegetables. Even today, the market has stalls representing many former republics of the Soviet Union, so one can buy Uzbek plov, baked goods from Tajikistan, Georgian spices, etc. Highly recommended!

We have been living in Minsk for 6 months and this complex has the best fruits vegetables in Minsk comparing with the supermarkets. The prices are lower than supermarkets and taste and freshness is high. The closed building is dedicated to meat and farm-based products such as eggs, several types of cheese, halal food, honey, etc. Next to the building, there is an open vegetable and fruit market surrounded by small shops. I would definitely recommend it if you live in Minsk and want to eat something fresh.

I wasn't planning on going initially but I read about some of the shops inside on a food blog called Koko. There was a photo of some delicious looking lavash bread from a Georgian bakery, so I got straight onto the metro to get my hands on it. The market is absolutely massive and super busy. It's a little way out of the centre of Minsk, so you see a little more of normal life and buildings there. There were absolutely tons of bakeries, but I located the Georgian place and they made it right there in front of me which was really awesome.
