this square is situated in the middle of the road and can be even seen from far away while driving and good place to take the photos and passing by the under pass of this square.

Neat Monument

We drove past the square a few times last week, and thought it was very well done. The tall monument in the middle has some great significance to the Belarus people.

A relic of the Soviet era

While it is now under construction and can't be accessed due to retaining walls, the monument dominates the skyline and reminds all of the historic Belarusian victories.

If they just removed the letters

The Victory sq is a big roundabout in central Minsk. The square is dominated with a tall obelisk memorizing a significant number of Belarus WWII victims. There's a USSR Communist star on top, and the Belarus coat of arms from that era at the base of it.
Currently it's under renovation, so you cannot approach it, neither see the eternal flame.
The square is beautiful, just don't like the big red letters inscription on top of the surrounding buildings, looks so Sovietish.

Huge and iconic square, one of the main of the city. Big streets will bring you here, enjoy them by feet. Just impossible to be missed, come here and take your time!

I could not believe that one of the most important attractions of the city was under restoration during my visit on the end of September. Hopefully next time I can visit this site

It was under renovation so no one could get near, we were there mid August 2019. We didn't see much of the obelisk itself.

Pity....hard to rate

Was probably spectacular. Unfortunately it was surrounded by scaffolding.....cot not be sure how to rate it. I have put average rating because I HAD to choose, which could have been wrong. Seemed worth viewing when not covered.
