Worth the visit. Amazing walk around the river in the summer or spring. Nicely lighted in the night. One of the best places to visit in Minsk

The City of Minsk is terribly beautiful with all the Soviet Era Art ,the National Measeum, National Park, Castles and the Night life, the City is very much alive in the Night Must visit place to the people who love nature and Art , even the people there are very much friendly and if you take a tour with Kristina that will be awesome because she is aware of every nook and corner of the city and speaks English very fluently,

Some 5 kms away from city centre, but right next to metro station. Nicely illuminated at night. Right next to a big shopping mall (Galileo).

The National Library is for sure a very attractive and the most modern edifice in all Minsk. It's huge diamond glass design shines at night, changing colors and ads like it was taken from Times sq.
The library is in northern suburbs on the way to the airport and you can easily reach it by the blue metro line exiting at Uschod station (there's a huge shopping mall).
You can explore the first two floors for close to nothing fee, while you cannot enter the central part where's a huge book storage with over 10 million titles (learnt that from the staff).
Another attraction is the roof top panorama open air observation deck. To reach it you must go around to the back of the library where's the ticket booth and glass elevator.
BEWARE, the views are not that great as, like I said, it's in the suburbs. You see downtown Minsk far in a distance. Anyway it's cheap so if you're there why not. After finishing the observation deck, descend one floor down where's a good cafe.
TIP: FAR better attraction in the area is the 20 min walking distance Church of all Saints (read that review), and you'll see it from the top of library.

Very impressive building; attractive landmark with modernised 8 angles glass shaped; well noticed from tha main road crossing Minsk; touring with some friends visiting the observation deck on the 22 flour as I remembered; then going down one level by stairs there is a very nice and lovely cafe with an amazing view; then visiting the library lobby taking some photos.it is very recommended to have a visit while touring the capital of Belarus.

Our friends took us up to the roof to see the magnificent vista of Minsk. We took loads of photos. We then went down to the cafe for snacks and Cofee.

A visit to Minsk is not completed without a visit to this library. The building is something else!! I love the contrast of architecture. It is very easy to reach by metro. Also across the street there are some old soviet murals on the apartment complex that are very cool too.

Obviously the exterior is of great interest but don't forget to go inside! At the back there is a lift to the 23rd floor (3.50BR) where you have wonderful 360degree views.
On 22nd floor there's a cafe and art gallery. It's very easy to get here by underground (Very cheap at -.65BR)
It is stop number 122 on the blue line.

Easy to get to from the centre of Minsk using the metro. Views are awesome from the top which is reached by a 23 storey panoramic elevator. Cost is 3.5 roubles, there is also a cafe and art gallery also.
