Fairly new church, they are still painting fresco's on the walls inside. Also a symbol of the resurrection of the Albanian Orthodox faith after the atheist period under Enver Hoxha.

If you like visiting churches and cathedrals, this one is worth a stop for the architecture. It's not a classic old building but rather a very modern place of worship. Its location, just a short walk south of Skanderbeg Square, makes it easy to find.

Aesthetically pleasing from the outside. Quite large and impressive. Definitely check out the inside as well, as you are made to feel quite welcome. Lovely modern piece of architectures in an historical capital.

A very well maintained building, there was service going on when we arrived but they don't seem to mind people going in and out. Lots of candles and incense made it a lovely experience

The church was having murals added when I was there. Interesting to see how far the Albanians have developed since the fall of communism
