we ate at the food trucks since it's an attraction. apparently it's a must-do when in papeete. basically all the trucks have the same menu and quality. nothing outstanding, but also not disgusting. just average.

Lots of food trucks available near the pier and fairy. Well organized. Surprised to see table set up with numbers on the tables. All kinds of good foods available. Cost range equivalent US dollars of 10 to 15. Most food cooked to order.

Being in Papeete and Tahiti in general does put a strain on your wallet. Eating here is not cheap either but definitely more affordable. Streetfood, trucks that setup in the late afternoon, put chairs and tables outside and the smells start greeting you! Nice variations...More

Sorry no longer in Papeete but if you ring Tourist Information Office in town they are very helpful and would most likely know or be able to find out for you, you could try calling or emailing them :) Happy christmas!

It's quite a way and as the roulettes start at 6pm it would be dark. Maybe 7or 8kms away. Best would be to get a taxi or your resort might have a tour to go. The road and being nighttime would really not be suitable for you... More
