    Dravuni summit hike
Beautiful island. Walk to lookout well worth it for the amazing views. Even better views from the second summit. Locals were friendly and buying from their stalls helps the local economy.

    Great cruise destination
Lovely friendly locals, always smiling. Great tiny island destination. The locals are trying very hard to promote their island, it was clean, tidy and like one big party with 3,500 passengers swimming, walking the tracks or having a cold beer from the little kiosk right on the water. DON'T take gifts for the school as previously advised, the Fiji Govt have put a stop to it. I had packed many school supplies and ended up giving them to the kids club on board our ship.

    Beach paradise in the Fidji
Wow is an understatement. I did not know what to expect as I could not find any tours. Well you do not need a tour. The Princess cruiseship set anchor and a water shuttle took us. It's a tiny but beautiful island with fine light golden sand, no rocks in the water so no need for watershoes, many trees for shade and restrooms. When the sun is out, the water is crystal clear, shades of turquoise, blues, greens, wow. The water was not cold but cooler than I expected for Fidji. We took a 10$ pp boat ride around the island. Took about 20 min. The other side of the island is even more beautiful; it's money very well spent. If you want to bring school supplies or things for the kids just do it. I saw many passengers bringing bags of stuff, whatever it was. The kids I saw looked well fed and happy. I had brought sealed candy treats. Enjoyed the day, best so far in my cruise.

    Beautiful Beach
What a beautiful little island! I had a 25-minute massage for $20 that was outstanding. There were many vendors with sarongs, bracelets, hats, and wood carvings for reasonable prices. You could take a boat ride around the island for $10 per person. We brought our own snorkel gear, but you could rent it there for $15. There was a lot of coral and beautiful little fish. The beach is beautiful and the water is crystal clear. Beautiful.

    Beautiful Island with Gracious People
Beautiful island with beautiful friendly people who were happy to see us. We arrived on The Grand Princess & spent the day. Please disregard "Richard B" review. Some in our group brought school supplies that the school was thankful for. In fact they had a table set up outside for such donations. Just bring them & give them happily. Thank you Dravuni

    Dravuni Island is beautiful
A stop on our P & O Adventure cruise was to Dravuni Island. We had to tender from the ship. The island was beautiful with a quaint village that was very welcoming. We swam off the shore in water that was so warm and refreshing. The locals we so friendly with many smiling happy people. Though we were from a cruise ship and there were hawkers selling their wares, the island has managed to maintained it's charm.

Dravuni's most beautiful island in Fiji
What a dream to be here on Dravuni. This island far exceeded my expectations. Beautiful white palm-fringed sandy beach, crystal blue sea, for bathing a dream, small village with nice inhabitants. The local mountain to hike and climb, a rainforest and fresh coconuts. This is how I imagine paradise🙏

This was part of our South Pacific itinerary and well worth the stop. This small (2 miles long) island with a population of around 135 to 150 inhabitants welcomes approximately 2000 cruise passengers to their home several times a month.
Most visitors take advantage of the beaches and snorkeling there. There is a school there that many visitors bring supplies to which is well appreciated. While there you can do boat rides around the island, shop for crafts or buy refreshments.
There are several trails around the island, if you head to the right, you can hike to the highest point of the island. We chose the less traveled path (to the left) and for most of it, it felt like we were the only people on the island.....we came across a unique cemetery, a wild pig and a deserted beach.

Idyllic beaches. Easy to navigate walking treks. Drop dead stunning vistas and the most welcoming smiles in the South Pacific, which is hard because everyone is so incredibly welcoming, makes Fiji's Dravuni Island a gorgeous place to visit.

I did as many do on their one cruise ship day trip: pop into the local primary school and Kindy to donate essential school supplies. Only being a children's author, my gift to the beautiful kids there were a couple of my most popular picture books. Wonderful to witness their smiling gratitude.

Oh and swimming in the pristine waters was an extra treat. The snorkelling was fare, we brought our own gear along. Perhaps a simple highlight was supping on freshly caught, filleted and BBQ'd tuna with cassava and fresh pineapple for lunch. Omg, out of this world delicious 😋!

We are currently on Royal Princess and were hoping to make a donation of books etc to the School along with some clothes etc.
We asked permission to be allowed to take a bag off for this purpose. We asked on day 1 of the cruise and we have not reached the Island yet. Guest Services told us that they would send an email to the local authorities. We have just heard that we will not be allowed to make a donation.
We have been there before and have made such a donation but this time they have told us no. Princess say that the response came back from their Fijian Agent.

Expecting an idyllic South Pacific beach day, we arrived to a cool, windy, cloudy morning. Waves and sea state were so bad that now lines were broken on tenders checking possibilities of tendering to shore. No go. We sailed on to Lautoka without our beach day!!

Our cruise ship anchored offshore.
Lots of crafts for sale. Some massage booths...cheap but you get what you pay for. Some fruit for sale.
Can visit the school. Students there.
Cruise people had left gifts for the school.
Found out that every time a cruise ship anchors and people come ashore The Cruise company pays approximately 7,000 dollars to the island committee so the island is doing very well although you really can't see where the money goes as there are a lot of run down buildings.
Nice beach and swimming looked fun.

Amazing island with a beautiful beach, lots of shells, and a trail. We visited the island on a cruise. Wish we could have stayed longer. The natives were friendly and offered myriad products for sale. No motorized vehicles. The island is so small that many of our group chose to walk around it! It was clearly the best stop on our cruise. There is some shady spots on the beach. Snorkeling can be done right from the beach. Be sure to take suntan lotion and a bathing suit! Locals did provide a ride around the island by boat to get a different perspective. This is a peaceful and tranquil place. No hotels or stores. Locals do provide drinks and home cooked meals.

Arrived on a tender from our ship on a perfect sunny day to enjoy a few hours on the white sands and clear waters near the local village. Friendly locals selling the usual souvenirs and fresh coconuts were happy to see us and make some money. A walk to the other side of the Island took about 12 minutes on a level but narrow path, but not as nice a beach there.

This is unashamedly a very poor community, but hospitality second to none. Friendly smiles everywhere. Best ocean swim I had in 14 days of cruising. Easy walk around the island, and seemed no no-zones.

Beautiful beach, very friendly locals, incredible snorkelling, the ocean was very clear.
Very few people live on this island, and there is not much there because they want to keep it pristine, and good luck to them.
Because of that, not much available in the way of food. I bought water from a local lady.
Would return in a heartbeat.
