Great place to watch the sunset.
With a westerly view, this is a great spot to watch the sunset. It may not have pristine white sand, but it is a lot easier to walk barefoot on than the beaches along the coral coast. The stretch in front of the Ramada where we were staying was clean and well maintained. You can also book yourself a horseback ride or a ride in an outrigger canoe. In short, a great place to spend an afternoon.

A beach yes but there are nicer ones
Visited in May 2023 Located near our accommodation, this beach was within walking distance. Not what Fiji tourism would post as their ideal beach. Despite being on the lower tier of beaches that Fiji offers, it isn't very crowded and that is probably the only positive. Brown sand with lots of twigs and such, only stop by Wailoaloa if you are passing through as it really doesn't have much going for it. It is possible to drive up to it via a dirt road that goes to Club Fiji Resort.

    Dirty ramshackle collection of hotels
Wailoaloa beach is the beach located between the Nadi international airport and the sea. It owes its existence to its proximity to the international airport and over the years a few hotels have sprung up here to accomodate people on overnight stopovers or on early morning flights. Despite its proximity to the airport you cannot walk here from the international airport and you will need to get a taxi to essentially take you all the way around the runway to get here. The beach itself is not the kind of beach you come to Fiji to see. The sand is black and the sea is dirty. Its not appropriate for swimming. Ongoing construction of new hotels further detracts from the aesthetics. There is only about a dozen hotels here and not a large enough audience to accomodate any kind of night time activities. It’s really only a place to stay if you have a layover at the airport.

    Not picture postcard
Plus points are that is it flat and compacted so is good for walking or even driving along. The sunsets are worth coming along to see. However, this is not a picture postcard tropical island beach. The sand is dark beige and the sea is an unwelcoming muddy brown colour.

It’s a beach very close to the accommodations
The beach is pretty clean I gotta say. Sure there’s a bit of trash but if you keep walking up and down you’ll find lots of great places to just lounge around and swim. It is muddy in some parts, and very clear in others. Just walk up and down!

a nice hike at low tide...
The pros... its fairly clean, you can walk quite ways at low tide, it is not crowded, it is safe, not a lot of jelly fish... The cons... not the best sand. kind of grainy and brown. Still, it is conveniently located in Nadi and is a great walk at low tide. Beats crowded beaches like in Mexico and Hawaii.

Definitely worth the sunset! Not your white sand tropical beach but water was good for swimming and there were lots of people doing water sports eg, jet skis, wing surfing etc

Don’t expect a tropical dream beach.
The beach is not white
A lot of construction is going on.
So stay away from this beach

Good stretch of beach, but not much happenings and stalls, nice breeze, need some efforts to clean and add few stalls. Shades to attract more

Don’t expect a white sand beach , it is the opposite , it has regular sand and the water is not clean to swim in my opinion. There are many fishermen getting the fish on there form their boats, there is also trash sadly.
