About
One of the most picturesque villages in Fiji, this one retains the traditional bures (thatched huts supported by center poles) that have been replaced in other villages by prefabricated concrete homes.

We have had a fantastic and memorable day at Navala Village. We were taken there by William from Rosie's Tours in a comfy 4 wheel drive. We stopped in Ba on the way and saw the museum and bought gifts for the children of the...More

It was an amazing trip. We do have a a great welcome with the people of the village. Nice tour village with a guide who to be honest speak little English but with your eyes you’ll be happy. A pure Fijian culture. A must visit

4 wheel drive needed to drive here as road is very rocky. We were shown around the sparse village, had a kava drink, which wasn’t as potent as a previous one in hotel, and shown how they cook with plants, roots etc. We were invited...More

Very typical village. You meet the chief and his family; they own the only house with electricity and water. Interesting to visit the school and talk with the kids. Many people of Navala Village speak English.

We drove in a rented car to Navala Village with our three kids, aged 11, 8 and 4. The road is ok, no need of 4x4, but nice to have a higher jeep or suv. The journey through the highlands was great. It takes more...More

It was beautiful time with friendly people and a fascinating anthropological experience. From Ba, turn inland towards Navala. It soon becomes a gravel road but is passable in a 2WD car when dry. Download google maps as there are many wrong turn offs you can...More

Beautiful setting, rough road in, interesting village but little substance other than coughing up $30 pp to go into the village. Clan chief disinterested but happy to take the money. Felt like caught in a scam so I wouldn't recommend this one.

It is an awesome experience, the ride from Nadi, was thru the mountains, in a bumpy road with magnificent views. Another perspective from Fiji ocean views! We got there, and a lovely lady, was our guide, it's a small place, full of beautiful kids, they...More

It took three hours to reach the village from Nandi and half of this was over bumpy roads. The village was isolated but unless you were fit and healthy, I don't advise visiting. We booked on the tour in N.Z. but a taxi driver said...More

Personally I am not the kind of person that write bad reviews but in this case I think I have to let the people know what to expect when they visit this village. First, you need a 4WD to get there cause the road is...More

I don't know if it's per person or per car. I think I put the fee I paid in my review, didn't I? Just be careful, as they charged me for everything, even paying a high cost for "dinner" when it was only a cheap pack of... More

Bula this arrangement is best done when you're in Fiji. At the airport you can ask Fijians if anyone has any connections to Naval village and they can arrange your host family there and then. Also, you could try Tourist... More
