This street was our main route through the old city to the main square. Full of interest. The cathedral is there too.

Nice area to walk around in. From "old to new" parts of the city. Some places to go shopping, a few places to eat as well. Clean area with a lot of people out and about. Locals and tourists all mesh in this area. I...More

There's nothing distinctly amazing about the street, but it's a pleasant place to walk and it's nice to not have to worry about traffic while enjoying the Old City. Definitely worth a look if you're visiting the Old City.

This nice, pedestrian street connects 18 de Julio Avenue with Old Montevideo. It begins in Montevideo's main square and almost reaches the port area.

We had a great time walking around and seeing all the beautiful buildings in the plaza. What great history to be seen just in the area. The buildings are all so beautiful and the people are so friendly.

This long pedestrianised street links the old town with Independence Plaza. Most of the city's high end clothing shops seem to line the street and there are also coffee shops, cafes and interesting architecture, as well as some murals. If you follow the route, you'll...More
