There's nothing distinctly amazing about the street, but it's a pleasant place to walk and it's nice to not have to worry about traffic while enjoying the Old City. Definitely worth a look if you're visiting the Old City.

If you want to have a nice walk and see the quite and interesting life in Montevideo you must come. Street markets, musicians, the most famous book store in the town,... it is a must here.

This nice, pedestrian street connects 18 de Julio Avenue with Old Montevideo. It begins in Montevideo's main square and almost reaches the port area.

We had a great time walking around and seeing all the beautiful buildings in the plaza. What great history to be seen just in the area. The buildings are all so beautiful and the people are so friendly.

This long pedestrianised street links the old town with Independence Plaza. Most of the city's high end clothing shops seem to line the street and there are also coffee shops, cafes and interesting architecture, as well as some murals. If you follow the route, you'll...More
