Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The most exciting thing about this park is the kitschy sculpture where an artist has mixed a suffering Jesus on the cross, the 12 disciples - AND the national poet José Enrique Rodó - into a religious-cultural mishmash.

It's incredible that Christian fundamentalists have let this pass without a fight.

The rest of the rather small park is not very exciting; only the complete lack of benches remains in memory after the visit.

Visited the Sunday market this week. Lots of stalls selling a variety of wares. There was entertainment in the park and some pop up food trucks. You can even rent pedal boats on the small lake.

If you have time to spare while at Montevideo, I would advise you to spend an afternoon of leisure at this beautiful park. Away from the Old City, you will find an oasis of calm among the greenery here. It's a good place to unwind and to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. You will feel like you are at a countryside somewhere!

After hearing so much about the park, I was really disappointed yesterday when I took my brother for a visit. The lake had been drained for repairs and everything was a mess and the rubbish at the bottom of the lake was awful. Would definitely not recommend visiting until after repairs and clean up.

A pretty park not too far off the rambla. Looks like it would be fun to go in summer and use one of the paddle boats.

The park is quite big with a little lake in the middle that you can paddle around. There are also games for young children. The whole place is not very well maintained. Full of trash. We find a lot of young people, mostly hippies hang around here. My sister-in-law’s backpack was stolen. We have been living in Montevideo for almost two years. Came here twice but will never come back.

The park is huge. The most interesting part of it is the Museo de Artes that contains paintings of the most famous Uruguayan painters

I saw so many beautiful pictures of this park, that I had to go visit. When I got there it was a very bad sight, I guess it was under remodelling or something, the lake did not existed, it was dirty but you can see it could be a beautiful place if the ever fix it.
