This was not a part of our original plan of things to do in the Sacred Valley. We learned about this from a Canadian who lives in Ollantaytambo. She directed us to this little museum and we are glad that we listened to her. Our...More

Went here as it was a wet day, and had a fun hour! Max would be 1.5 hours. Admission is s/35, or 20 for kids. The name is a misnomer as it takes you through 8 different periods, of which the Incas are the last....More

Spent a rainy morning in Colca at this very informative museum that depicts 12,000 years of mainly Pre-Incan history. As we walked through we came to several fascinating and visually appealing life sized dioramas depicting the life of the past civilizations.

This museum is fabulous! Each Pre-Columbian culture has 2 rooms: one with educational information and artifacts and the other with a life size diorama. Everything was so well done, and we learned so much. The dioramas are truly amazing. It is no exaggeration to say...More

The museum has different exhibitions showing different cultures that compose the history of Peru. Not only are things very well explained, but the graphic representations at the end of each room were amazing. It is definitely and underrated attraction that is a must see for...More
