This Inca site has many agricultural terraces cascading down the mountainside. There are several sets of crumbling buildings at different levels, and a beautiful stone entry provides passage from the site to the Inca Trail, which passes through this site. Be prepared to walk up many levels to see the entire site.

The drive to get up here is great, some beautiful scenery along the route small towns with narrow streets. This is a big area, lots of walking, some high, so if you would rather not, you can take a different route but still see everything. There were loads of people selling food and souvenirs along entry route. There are lots... More

My family and I visited Pisac mostly because it was listed on our Tourist Pass. We found the town and the ruins amazing. t's a bit of a butt kicker compared to many of the other ruins so expect a good hike. We got a late start which I don't recommend the ruins are a good 4-5 hours themselves and... More

The town is small and quiet, has a nice charm about it. It is 100% tourist oriented but still nice, and the Sunday market is quite large. The ruins are a decent hike up from the town, easy to find the trail just ask. Recently the tunnel to get to the top half of the hike was blocked off, but... More

If you are doing a tour of the sacred valley, this will likely be one of the first stops on the tour. The site is a lot larger that you think it is, a lot of room to walk around. There is an uphill portion with stairs, but if you cannot manage, there is a lot of flat area to... More

This beautiful site probably started as a military outpost and today it is a great place to see the very precise buildings. The terraces were so well built that they still stand today. Be sure to have a guide so that you can get the history. This is a very easy/safe drive from Cusco. Don't miss the Pisac Ruins. In... More

Visited the site via a tour bus that took us to the upper parking lot. From there it is a relatively easy walk to the upper terraces and guard house above. I was impressed with the enormity of the terraces and awed by the breathtaking view. I would suggest taking a guided tour as they can provide background that you... More

Another stop on our guided tour of the Sacred Valley and unfortunately we got here late so we weren't able to see the entire Archeological Park as they were starting to close it for the day. Nonetheless, we still learned about the history of the site, the location itself, the design of the terraces, and the hillside that was used... More

Beautiful views, amazing structures and history. If you are out of shape like me it is quite a walk, tons of stairs.
