We are Ollantaytambo's first tour company, operating continuously since 2002. Will "KB" Janecek came from Colorado/Minnesota to Ollantaytambo to explore the mountains and learn the culture. He spent a decade and a half living in this tiny village, explored and learned, wrote a trail guidebook for the region, and made several adventure movies with RedBull and GoPro, among others.

Today, he still answers each and every email himself - the best way to give you direct, one-on-one access to his vast knowledge of this area and the love he has for the people of Peru and his admiration for the Incas.

We have a gear office in Ollanta but work primarily via email and we answer all emails very, very promptly !

We have chosen a van for three of us with driver and tour guide for the whole day and it was the best tour we had in Peru. Excellent courteous and attentive service with careful driving and very knowledgeable guide who made additional stops to make us familiar with alpaca farm, chicha, local artisanal markets and breathtaking viewpoints. We have... More

My friend and I attended this tour as beginner hikers. But our guides Jesus and Jose were amazingly helpful. We booked this tour from another tour agent which gave us so many false informations, such as pick up/drop off location, etc... but they both helped us out as much as they could accomodate which are so rare in this country.... Excellent service. Prompt, courteous, informed and all coupled with safe driving. Left Cuzco old town for the market in Pisca, continued with lunch at a great spot in Urubamba (the inca house), then onto Moray, Maras, and the Chinchero district. Abraham our guide and Gato for driver were top notch. Plus they took us to an animal rescue center to... More

We wanted to go the sacred valley tour in preparation for our inca trek. We found out about KB Tambo from a blog post and selected them mainly because they had a super day Sacred Valley Tour. We left from Cusco and visited Chincheros, the Salt Mines, Moray, the Pisac Ruins, and the Pisac Market. Our driver spoke very limited... More

Had originally planned a full day horseback trip to Inti Punku, but one of us wasn’t feeling well so contacted KB and was able to switch it to a half day private van tour of several Sacred Valley sites. KB Tambo also got us a great guide for Machu Picchu and it made a world of difference in that visit.... More

We could not have such a nice trip in Peru without PB transportation services. We went with KB on 3 days of our stay in Peru. First day was a one-day trip from Cusco to Pisac and then to Ollantaytambo. Second day was from Ollantaytambo to Salt Mines, Morray and Chinchero, and back to Ollantaytambo. Third day was from Ollantaytambo... More

We were transported from Cusco to the Sacred Valley with our wonderful taxi driver, Roger. We had found out at the airport in Lima that we didn't actually have confirmed tickets to Machu Picchu so he brought us into Cusco to the ticket office and saved the day. From there, he brought safely to Ollantaytambo with a few stops along... More

We did an a la carte trip, planning for 3 days of biking and hiking with KB and then continuing on to Machu Picchu on our own. But then a train strike and then an unexpected extension of that train strike declared at 1 a.m. of the day we were headed to Machu Picchu left our plans in disarray. However,... More
