Even with ponchos and the pouring rain. It was an absolutely amazing experience and one that I will never forget. I'm hoping that for my children, that they will never forget. The history the stories that people believe about the city. A must see for yourself to understand. Do It!

Not much to say that hasn't been said. Just go! You will not be disappointed. I am terrified of heights and there were some parts that took me a lot of time (more of a mental thing) to get through, but it is so worth it. Amazing!

Don't forget your passport!, Bringing ponchos saved us from the morning downpour!, There are no bugs in April- no repellent necessary, Services are poor- until lunch time there is only a small snack bar to serve everyone- there was a 45 minute line to get food (which was by far the worst food in Peru, but there are several cute... This site deserves more than a quick tour with a guide. Many visitors plan a day visit from Cuzco or Olantaytambo. This is too short. Spend one night in Aguas Calientes either before or after your visit. This is a delightful village on its own and worth some time. While many reports say you may not take a backpack into... More

My wife and I visited this amazing place twice in our two day stay. The first day was a Sunday and a little rainy. We were staying at the Belmond Sanctuary Lodge and arrived at 12:30PM . After lunch and getting settled, we walked over to the Machu Picchu entrance and made our way into the Citadel. Despite the intermittent... More

Spent day touring this unbelievable ancient city built high in the mountains. Able to tour the entire complex, which can easily take more than a day.

There are lots of people that frequent the mountain. Tourists are everywhere. We got up early and made sure we were one of the first on the mountain. We were able to capture a lot of pictures before the masses arrived. We also went with a solo guide who was a pleasure have. She hurried us to areas she knew... More

What an amazing place. We spent 2 days exploring the ruins and climbed to the sun gate and Huayna Picchu. I would recommend going early before the crowds, Buses start at 6am.

Once in a lifetime experience. Book ahead!! I unfortunately was a victim of Delta's massive fallout in ATL which caused my whole trip to get re-arraigned so there were a few problems getting to and from this beauty but it was worth it. Here are some tips: 1. This is a 2 day trip from Cusco. It takes 1.5 hours... More
