Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was one of our favorite ancient sites while in Peru. The masonry and engineering feats are just unbelievable. The people who built this site were amazing. The views are breathtaking. Such an incredible location and a good place to take a short break along the Inca trail.

On the last day of the Inca Trail, before reaching the awesome Machu Picchu, you'll camp near the Wiñaywayna. It's a small version of the Machu Picchu. The fortress is breathtaking as well as the views are.

Our guide Carlos said it was the most beautiful site on the Inca trail, besides Machu Picchu. I 100% agree.

This place can be visitable on foot. The stairs going up will kill your breath for a bit, but after that, you are in for more breathtaking sights.
This was one of the high points of our 2-day Inca trail, both because it is actually high up but also because it's so breathtakingly beautiful here.

Like most Inca sites it´s absolutely massive. Incredible view of the Urubamba Valley, and very well preserved. It has the little stone house remains you also see at Machu Picchu.
THE KEY: Very few people, and no tourists in their designer clothes taking pictures everywhere, which is why I call it low-key better. it's only accessible by foot. It's close to the end of the Inca trail.
Lie down in the grass on a sunny day and be at peace.

No words can describe how beautiful is the view from up of this place, I know is very risky to walk all these crazy dangerous stone stairs, but is rewarding

Last Inca site before Macchu Picchu. The site has impressive terracing and is a good example of Inca planning and architecture. Great views, big steps to walk up and down but are in good condition.
