Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice place for shopping fruits and flowers. The price is very good and the staff are really helpful and friendly. You can buy fresh orange juice for a couple of dollars.

Our favorite fruit and veggie market has been found by tourists. I'm happy because they were getting a detailed explaination of the various products including the most exotic plus they were buying. This still is our favorite place and a must stop for foodies on any visit to Lima. Try the prepared food here in the tiny and CHEAP hole in the wall restaurant

The historic centre of Lima presents beautiful examples of Hispanic colonial architecture, not only in the cathedrals but also in the richly wooden alpendres. Larco Museum and the ruins in San Isidro are a must for those who love history.
The limenho people are nice but the city provides limited public mobility. The subway network is small. The buses are private, some charge in kind others with transportation card.
Good food with very affordable price (beware of the pepper).
The sky is gray most of the year, which gives a certain personality to the city.
Overall Lima is very "own."

This is a local market. We went as part of our tour to learn about the fruits, vegetables, meats, fish and seafood used in various Peruvian dishes, prior to going to the Urban Kitchen, a restaurant where you learn how to make various meals. The goods of the merchants are nicely displayed, especially the colorful displays of fruits and vegetables. Still, its only a market and I really wouldn't go out of my way to see it.

Peru is such a big country and with Lima being the capital, I was sorely disappointed in the markets overall, not much abundance and some of the owners/sellers were really expensive in this market, we visited this market twice and half the stalls were closed, also not a lot of seafood surprisingly, nothing wonderful, it was the cleanest however, not sure I would recommend.

One of the nicest fresh food markets in South America. And it comes with plenty of free parking. Everything from fresh fish and meats to every vegetable and fruit grown in Peru including some Amazon items hardly seen outside the region. Most of the vendors will let you try something. Plus there are two or three different places that have tables or places to sit and who offer cooked to order specialties. A fun hour or so for the foodies and if you are renting an apartment or a week a great place to buy what you need to cook at home.
