Two weeks of adventure in Peru was made very memorable with Aaron’s thoughtful and careful planning. Other than knowing we wanted to visit Machu Picchu, we didn’t know much about what else to do, or where to begin. In the end, we just knew we wanted to experience the core of Peruvian culture (and cuisine!), but also a bit of the road less travelled. Aaron and his team made it happen, in spite of some of the curve balls we (and a 24hr flight delay) threw at them. Professional and knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

We just completed a fantastic trip to Peru with Aaron as our guide. This trip was 6 years in the making as prior plans were disrupted 3 times due to hurricane, pandemic, and political unrest. Through it all Aaron maintained great communication and attention to our desires that resulted in an amazing visit to Lima, Cusco, Ollantaytambo, Machu Picchu and a rain forest Inkaterra lodge.

We started in Lima where the highlight was a delicious dinner at Aaron’s mothers house. The local dishes were expertly prepared while we drank pisco sours that were also freshly mixed. Having personal interaction with locals is the best travel experience.

We then ventured on to Cusco and the sacred valley where the transfers and hotel arrangements were seamless. Aaron’s experience and network of knowledgeable colleagues provide worry free travel so you can just relax and enjoy every stop along the way. The Maras salt mines and the weaving demonstration in Chinchero were very interesting. And the llamas, alpacas and guinea pigs were very fun to see. (Viewing only. No cute little animals were consumed on this trip)!

Of course the main attraction was experiencing Machu Picchu and climbing Huayna Picchu. Aaron and his colleagues provide expert support from the time you step out of your hotel, ride the winding bus route and then hike the archeological site. No matter how high your expectations are for this visit, they will be exceeded!

Based on Aaron’s recommendation, our last few days in Peru were spent at Inkaterra Reserva Amazónica. This property is located in the rain forest and provided some great food and encounters with beautiful macaws, parrots and jungle foliage. And for the more adventurous, sightings of howler monkeys, tarantulas and caymans are guaranteed!

In summary, we would highly recommend Aaron to anyone planning a trip to Peru. Over the past 6 years he has become a friend and last month provided us with an amazing experience that would not have been as enjoyable without him. It is clear that Aaron truly loves his country and is very enthusiastic about sharing that feeling through his personal guide service.

WOW! What a fantastic day in Lima, thanks to Aaron and his team. We only had one day in Lima, and doing this guided tour was the best possible way to see as much as we could, while also not overdoing it! Our guide, Jorge, was fantastic, and we definitely felt like we were getting an insider's experience of the city. Making pisco sours and ceviche with Aaron's mother and sister was the best possible conclusion to the day. We're so grateful for this whole experience. Highly recommend!

Aaron and his team made our trip to Lima fun and memorable! Since Aaron was not available on the day of our Lima city tour, his friend Danny took us to see the sites. Danny's colorful, knowledgeable commentary on the city's people, history, and neighborhoods brought the city to life, and we weren't able to stump him with any of our many questions :). He customized the tour to our interests and even provided us with some great restaurant and bar recommendations for after the tour. After we worked up an appetite, Danny took us back to Aaron's mother's home, where she and Aaron's brother showed us how to make pisco sours, ceviche, and lomo saltado. Despite all the amazing food we had in Lima, this was our favorite meal of them all! Danny and Aaron's family made us feel at home and made our trip unforgettable.

Our first ever trip with a tour guide and it was awesome. Peru is a great and we would have enjoyed no matter what. However Aaron made it even more memorable. Plus he helped make sure the trip which can be arduous at times was planned with our well being in mind. Our trip was in 2017 and we are are thankful to Aaron to this day.

Choosing Aaron for my trip to Peru was the best decision! He organized everything perfectly, chose the best places to visit and made all the suggestions of places, restaurants and cool spots to visit to make our trip amazing! Excellent guides (super friendly and social) with vast knowledge of Peru and its history, transportation was perfect and my favorite part was cooking with his mom traditional Peruvian food. A lovely experience fully recommended. Super happy with the services he gave us!

Peru is a fantastic country to explore - and extremely complicated to get around. We wanted to travel throughout the country, but were often left wondering how to get from point A to point B. Aaron was my go-to person for smoothing out the details. He provided suggestions, made reservations, and gave advice when we felt stuck. In Lima, it is a family affair. Aaron’s brother, Ahmed was our driver, negotiating the roads to keep us on time and safe and his mother taught us how to make lomo saltado, a highlight of our trip. He also arranged city tours for us in Lima, Cusco, and Arequipa. When you are planning a trip to peru, Aaron is an invaluable resource.

Aaron is a local and knows all the ins & outs of Peru, so we got the best of all the places we wanted to see. We set a price and standard, and he did the rest! We were never alone, as we were met at the airport and hotels by our drivers, and our guides in the different cities were experts in all the history of the area - fact and lore! Plus, Aaron is just a text or call away. He would text or call us before each trip, to prepare us and be sure we were ready. Super support!

We met Aaron in Cusco at our Hostel. He over heard us planning our trip to Machu Picchu and he helped us plan our trip even thou he was leaving for the airport to fly back to Lima. Aaron has been in constant contact with us and helping us with every adventure. If you are looking for a tour guide in Peru, Aaron is your guide! I cannot say thank you enough for all of his help and when we get back to Lima in a few days, drinks are on me Aaron! 😊🍻

My husband and I just returned from an unforgettable trip to Peru organized by Aaron Paiva Leyton of tourguideperu. Not only did Aaron Paiva Leyton set up a perfect itinerary for us in Peru but he also sent us back to the States with a bottle of HIS Pisco (first sampled 5 years ago after his Lima day tour and meal prepared by his mother). If anyone is considering Peru (there's a LOT to see besides just Machu Picchu), we would highly recommend Aaron. Without his meticulously detailed organization such a truly unforgettable and safe adventure wouldn’t have been possible at such a reasonable cost. Every one of Aaron’s reliable, knowledgeable guides and drivers, handpicked for their local expertise, were extremely friendly and engaging. We also liked his idea of ending the 10 days with Machu Picchu rather than beginning our adventure with it. He included places we requested and added some that he believed we’d enjoy. After especially energetic days, he built in time to recuperate. He booked everything (internal flights, hotels, trains, boats, restaurants etc). We enjoyed Lima, Sillustani and Lake Umayo, Lake Titicaca with the floating Uros Islands and Taquile Island, Puna, Cusco in the Sacred Valley, Andahuayllilas, Raqchi, La Raya, Sacsayhuaman, Awana Kancha, Pisac ruins, Ollantaytambo, Temple of the Sun, Machu Picchu Pueblo, and the truly awesome Machu Picchu. AND we encountered many llamas and alpacas. Needless to say, we have absolutely fabulous memories. P. S. Notice his logo includes his 2 cats.
