I actually walked to the Barranco area from Miraflores. It took about 40 minutes. This was a good way to see the daily life in Lima. The Barranco District street art is enjoyable. Bus or taxi back to Miraflores works well.

The barranco has one of the most beautiful views in the city. The sunsets are amazing; it has also great places to eat and shop.

Barranco is a tourist area with few attractions beside restaurants and bars. The area is on a slope, it has a nice park and is set on the side of the ocean with a nice view.

Barranco is known because of the Puente de los Suspiros, MATE Museum and the Penas (night Peruvian show).

Peruvian food in general has animal products, so unless you cook it yourself, very hard to find vegan food in Barranco. In other places in Lima you might. But because our food is incredible and world wide known, you might... More
