I watched the show "Retablo de Marineras" a fantastic show performed by the Elenco Nacional de Folclore from Peru, showcasing all Peruvian dances. This particular show was from the Marinera dance not only from Lima or Northern Peru, but also from Cuzco, Puno, Ancash, and the Jungle. It was great!

If you struggle out Javier Prado (the traffic is horrendous) you can't miss on the left hand side before you reach San Borja, the relatively new and glorious National Theater. A stunning glass structure, the interior has almost perfect acoustics. And the prices are very reasonable. A recent production of the opera Turendot only cost about $50 and was wonderful.... More

Went to see The Legendary Count Basie Orchestra and this was a wonderful experience. The theater is modern and beautiful but the acoustics were fantastic. I don't think you could have a bad seat anywhere in this facility. Agree with other reviewer that the food and beverages were a bit limited and not very enjoyable, but the music outshined this... I went to a classical music concert here, featuring Beethoven's 7th. The Gran Teatro Nacional is a very modern facility which lacks for nothing in a technical sense. The layout of the theater is excellent, with three higher levels and a floor level. It's hard to get a bad view, although the rear seats in the upper levels would force... More

When I was invited to theater in Lima I was expecting a really old and common theater, as in most of Latin American countries, but I was amazed when we arrived to this brand new and modern theater. The structure outside is really nice and modern, and the inside is even better. The seats, the section and the stage are... More

A very impressive new theater in Lima, Peru not hard to get to it by either private or public transportation, it has a very modern architectural design and it equipped with the latest technological advances. Suited for all kinds of shows. Acoustics are just great. Given all this, I was surprised by the fact the ladies' restrooms did not have... More

This is simply the newest and the best theater of Lima city. The sound is perfect and the stage very high tech.

I saw "Guillaume Tell" with Juan Diego Flórez. The venue is beautiful, but the seats have to be carefully chosen. Please do not sit in the first row in floors above orchestra level. They have an ornamental bar that blocks your view. The side seats are obstructed views as well, you strain your body looking over the edge to see... More
