Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

In the centrally located Park Juana Alarco de Dammert sits this nifty building and collection. The concept is more quality over quanitity. The vast majority of the sculpture, painting, ceramics, are well executed and captivating. You may see some famous names, or artists new-to-you. Most art here is late 19th to early 20th century, in many different styles. After walking through each wing, I walked through again and was just as charmed. If you have the slightest interest in art, I'd call this gem a 'must see'.

Housed in a beautiful building in Parque de la Cultura, this museum displays some exquisite art of the Italian Impressionist era. While the collection is rather small, there are excellent works by artists unfamiliar to me. There are paintings, bronze & marble sculptures. The brochure encourages the viewer to compare certain paintings and observe certain details that an average person might miss. Well worth the 6 soles fee.

It is a really small museum, but since It was rated one of the most beautiful, we decided to visit it. You cannot compare this museum with a european one, but it was nice to spend the time walking around. ..

An impressive collection of art, to bad we had to follow a guide who hurried past lots of interesting art. This is not the way to view art, with more time, and by ourselfs we would have a much better visit. Anyway, hughe collection with many things to see but unfortunately the guided tour did not leave time to enjoy the art there..

This musu7em is a direct result of the explosion of guano money in the late 1800s. (Bird droppings on the islands outside Callao harbour that were used to make explosives). Beautiful building with a lot of Italian art. Worth a short visit to either wet your appetite for the explosion of art at the MALI or to calm you down and make you serene before lunch in the nearby restaurant. Hasn't changed much in 40 years

“There is something so different in Venice from any other place in the world, that you leave at once all accustomed habits and everyday sights to enter an enchanted garden.”
THE QUIET SCENE Wagner died in Venice, quietly it is hoped. One of the stillest parts of Venice that we visited was a blind alley where we saw the extraordinarily elegant Scala Contarini del Bovolo. This external spiral staircase is a beautiful architectural curiosity, which merits a visit.

The style of the staircase illustrates the architectural transition from Venetian Gothic to Renaissance. The Venetian dialect word bovolo means snail, a reference to the spiral design of the staircase.

Normally opened to visitors, with grand views of the city!

This museum is located in a beautiful building just north of the Parque de La Exposicion. The collection is almost all from the turn of the 19th-20th centuries, so there probably won't be anything here that you've heard of. Explanations of the works are in both Spanish and English; it took us about 45 minutes to view them all. It was a pleasant way to kill an hour.

What a wonderful museum of Italian impressionist art. Very inexpensive but wonder painting and sculptures. Beautiful building in the middle of nice city park. Lots of traffic but worth the adventure.

The building is exquisite. The collection consists of 6 rooms. Interesting Italian art collection. However you have to really want to see this museum to brave the traffic into congested and grimy central Lima to go here. The location is a pity.

This museum is not on the tourist radar and that should change. It's not big but packs a lot of great paintings and some nice sculptures. For just 6 soles you can spend an hour looking at great Italian art from the early 20th century in a beautiful building located in a nice park.
