A short stop at the monument on the way to Paracas. It is a good location to view this nice statue as well as a clear view of Lima. Enjoyed the view and learned something about the war between Peru and Chile.

This is definitely worth grabbing a reputable taxi and paying the 30 soles (roundtrip from Lima) for. This statue is stunning and the placement on top of the Chorillo village makes it perfect for photos of the city and coastline. One of my favorite things to see in Lima

Is this a take off of Rio? It looks out over the ocean and the area of Miraflores. It certainly stands out as a landmark.

We were wandering the streets on foot and stumbled upon this gem. Looks out of place and not huge but really quite excellent to be placed in the neighborhood it is looking out over the city towards the water, totally worth an expedition.

There have been several negative reviews of this and I don't know why. They say Imitation is the sincerest form of Flattery' and I agree. This statue is one of the first landmarks I saw when I landed in Peru and Christ the Redeemer is planned to be one of the last things I see when I depart at the... More

Good view of Miraflores and the Ocean. Interesting look at a shanty town as you go up. The statue itself isn't that impressive.

A replica of Rio's 'Christ the Redeemer' but is nothing in comparison. Very feeble against the backdrop of a great coastline, lit up in neon... A poor choice. Also overshadowed by the giant cross further along the coast. Built in what is basically wasteland, unless the area is built up around the statue I think it's relatively pointless as a... More

The statue is illuminated by night time with color changing neon lights. As a result, in seam everything less the Holy Christ..

A nice view, but a common attraction in Lima. Some history behind it and how it was financed.

Christ meets Las Vegas, in plastic and neon. I don't understand why anyone would ruin the landscape with such trash...
