It was a bit difficult to get to Huancaya (car from Huancayo leaves only at 4.45 am from parque de los sombreros),but totally worth it! There are waterfalls everywhere just as well as beautiful lagoons. There are (cheap) hospedajes in Huancaya and you can take a rowing boat on one of the lagoons to get a better view of some... More

I've read it was the best landscape in Lima province, so we went there camping last weekend: it was amazing! It was extremly cold at night but if you have the appropiate gear or you stay in a house, it'll not be a problem.

The place is really beautiful, but it is very far from any civilized place, and it is difficult to find a decent accommodation. If you like adventure tourism , don`t miss "Huancaya" it is one of best attractions of the Andes in Lima region. And it is full of fat trouts too .

A great place to enjoy the cordillera near Lima, a 6 hours drive from San Isidro, the road along the cordillera after you leave Lunahuana is thrilling and awesome. You will get the chance to see Cañete, Lunahuana, and several little villages along the road to get to Huancaya. Once you are there, do not forget to walk around and... More

Like most of Peru the landscape is grand but the infrastructure dire. Nor Yauyos is a stone's throw away from Lima but you might have to drive back to Lunahuana to get a decent bed for the night. It is a shame, really. Don't stay in Huancaya, too long. Keep going to Vilca; a true gem. The village is on... More

Go and enjoy the scenery of this peaceful and fantastic national reserve. big rainbows await you in the crystal clear mountain river and lakes of the Cañete river, especially around the scenic little village of Huancaya.

Never seen 3D landscape and I must say that Peru has it all. This is Mother Nature at it's finest. Beautiful areas.

Few places in Peru, have this amazing natural beauty & landscape. A little hard to get there (about 8 hours from Lima), but the place is breathtaking. Great for camping, and some outdoors... go between april and november (dry season)

From Lima to Yauyos the trip is pretty rough (7 hours away and the road is not still good) but the landscape worth the sacrifice to get there. I do not recomend Mystical Trekking operator because most of the time we spent unpleasant moments and they did not offer everything we read at their web page. After all the negative... More
