- Nancy PLindsay, Canada24 contributionsGorgeous fountain and light showBeautiful water fountains and light show including visual presentation of Peruvian history accompanied by music displayed on the cascading water. A chance to see Peruvian families and young people enjoying a local event. Paid extra for Hallowe'en extravaganza which was really well done. Lots of taxis available at the exit. 15 sol, less for seniors.Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 26 October 2023
- DulibyChester-le-Street, United Kingdom88 contributionsDon’t miss this!!!We saw this water/light/music spectacle with a brilliant guide called Mabel. She talked us through and explained the imagery we were going to see later in the main show as she led us around the park. All of the individual displays were good in themselves and she took lots of pictures for us but the highlight is the main show. It’s done 3 times a night and lasts 15 minutes. The history of Peru is back- projected onto huge fans of water with spectacular images, colours and music. Fantastic value for money!Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 29 May 2024
- MCDLondon, United Kingdom218 contributionsLight showA nice distraction in Lima. Booked online on the day and just walked up to the counter and showed tickets to get in. Yes there are better ones elsewhere but for the price (very cheap) if it fits with your timings its worth a look. We walked there from the center. Not a great walk but safe. Easily got an Uber back to Miraflores afterwards.Visited August 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 17 August 2024

What an amazing show. It is breathtaking. The water fountains, lights and lasers make this an experience you will never forget. It is set in the municipal park and costs very little to get in. It is on every evening so if you stay in Lima make sure you do not miss this show.

Nice light (with some lasers) and water show and many other fountain/light displays in the Parque de la Reserva. Some projections were faint and a little hard to see. Three shows a night at 7:15p, 8:15p and 9:30p. If you want to get wet and run around under one of the fountains, there is a change room!
S/. 4 was very reasonable entry (also need S/. 0.50 for bathrooms) - there is an entry line if you have exact a mount and a preferencial line for young families and those in wheelchairs.

This is a great place to come and enjoy at any time but the light show really comes into its own as the sun goes down. There are all ages here and it is certainly the place to go for many locals. There are side shows and stalls both inside and outside. Its a token entry fee which serves to keep out the majority of those who might pay tourists a little too much attention although when you leave at the end once night has fallen it gets very busy so its worth booking your uber and arranging a pickup point before you get out into the hustle and bustle. There is a second section to the park which is through a tunnel which is easy to miss (we did!) so make sure you look at a map and ensure that you see the whole park. A really enjoyable experience in Lima overall.

Visited hours before nightfall and even then the fountains were impressive and mesmerizing. Stayed for the nighttime show and was aude by the colorful dancing not water and synchronized music. Incorporated also in them mix was Lazer lights. Spectacular enormous park that exceeded my expectations. No excuse to miss this attraction. Traveled solo and was safe to walk back to my accomodations after dark.

We went on a Saturday night and the line was very long to get in. Thank goodness we had a tour guide with us; otherwise I don't think we would have figured out what line to get into, etc.. He helped us navigate the entrance and the show. I highly recommend attending this site with a tour guide if you do not speak Spanish. The fountains were beautiful; especially the show that they do hourly. We enjoyed walking around.

Would be great in any world city. The illuminated fountains, many of which are choreographed to music, are wonderful.
It is a park to visit alone, with friends or with the family.
Transport by taxi, Metropolitana (bus), or car

Beautiful display of a water and light show! Truly spectacular how they synchronize the music and water movements.
In the heart of Lima, we chose to take Uber from our Barranco hotel area which worked out great. Leaving though, I wish there was a better lite transportation area or an area to pick up a taxi. We had to walk quite a way down dark unfamiliar streets which was a little nerve wracking late at night. We finally reached a well lite main intersection and we're able to Uber back.

This could be a great attraction however it is not. Inside the park is full of illegal street vendors and nobody even tries to remove them.
The entrance fee is really low about 4 soles and there is a little electric train ride inside the park for kiddies, that cost about 8 soles for 8 minutes. If you have to go to the bathroom, you must pay as well.
There is a show at about 7;15 pm and yes you are correct all the illegal vendors will annoy you before, during and after the show.
The show itself is not really a water show at all, but a Peruvian history lesson on light projection cinema covering the water display. After 5 minutes of that you feel like walking out of the park. If I want to read or see history i can google it, this is 2024 for gods sake !!!!!!
Some of the water displays are not operating during summer!!!! This should be addressed in winter time !!!!!
Well, it is time to leave the park, but there are no signs or anything marked on the floor that says exit. You have to remember your way in I guess.
The city of Lima runs the park.

If you like water fountains, colourful lights and music, then this is a must do. (If you think the Bellagio fountains are exciting, this will blow your mind!) It's a very large park and there's various types of fountains and light shows happening. Great place to wander and enjoy the evening. Definitely watch the show that happens. I saw the bicentennial show and it was basically a recap of Peru's history (short summary: pre-Incans, Incans, Spanish and revolution) and it was amazing to see it play out with the music, water and light show.

Where in the park are the special shows? What time should we arrive at the park to see the 7:15pm show? Any tips we need to make the most of our visit today?

Hola Mauricio !!

O parque fica a 50 metros. O transito de Lima é caótico.

Nao!
