Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Strolling up from the Plaza de Armas you come upon this impressive gate or arch that dates back to 1836. It commemorates the federation of Peru & Bolivia that lasted from 1836 to 1839. The joining of the two nations was opposed by both Argentina & Chile and after some victories, the confederation was dissolved in 1839. The two actually then fought each other for supremacy but no major gains were made by either. I'm surprised that the Arch wasn't removed years ago but gladly it has been saved for us to admire.

A wonderful piece of historical architecture near to the central plaza. This arch is anything but an eyesore and is actually very aesthetic.

Lovely archway that leads to the market. To the right of my photo is a boys school. There is a quaint little tile that tells you the name on the archway.

The arch of Santa Clara is a very interesting piece of Colonial architecture within Cuzco but the best is what is going on around of regular basis, markets, parades, religious festivals. An ocean of colour and buzz

A small simple arch close to Plaza de San Francisco, on the way to Mercado de San Pedro, one can not miss it strolling around in Cusco. It is nice but nothing special.

You can't miss the arch, so beautiful. It almost splits the town in two halfs. Definitely a must see.

The arch is beautiful and the area is very busy. You'll see it walking from the Plaza to the San Pedro Market. There are many little shops nearby.

On the way to the Mercado San Pedro this can't be missed. The gate is nice but all the traffic doesn't improve its charm.

This is a historic arc not far from the San Pedro Plaza, but it is need of an overhaul. If you are walking by, it is nice to note, but I would not recommend going out of your way to view it.

I loved the way the arc dominated that area of the city and commanded the street. The design is pretty cool and the traffic flowing through it is neat to look at as well. Nice place for a few cool pictures!
