The Huchuy Qosco trek with Sam Travel Peru was an amazing experience to learn more about the history of the Inca people and visit so many archaeological ruins. Our tour guide, Jhordy, was knowledgeable and attentive; he also helped us take so many beautiful photos at each location. The trek was rewarding and passed on a part of the Inca trails, and I really enjoyed the kindness and hospitality of the Peruvian mama that we stayed with. The trek included so much more than we expected, including delicious meals, comfortable transportation, and salt/chocolate samples! We felt very cared for and sometimes, we felt like royalty. I would highly recommend Sam Peru Travel, and this trek if you want a well-rounded experience that includes Machu Picchu.

We had an amazing time! SAM travel and our tour guide, Liz, had everything incredibly organized and efficiently planned. They took care of our luggage from Cusco to Machu Picchu, all transportation and tickets of entry to everything we needed.

Liz was incredibly patient with me when I struggled hiking and was so kind and knowledgeable. It’s easy to see her love for her country and for teaching others about its history. We would absolutely recommend this trip to anyone who wants to do some strong hiking but not commit to the full 4/5 day hike. (and ask for Liz!)

10/10 fantastic experience!
This tour was maybe one of the coolest things I’ve done in my life. Walking the old Inca trail you’re able to see lots of old Inca settlements and see incredible landscapes!
Ray and Tony, our tour guides, were fantastic at explaining the history of these old sites and were great at answering all our questions. In addition to their knowledge, they provided a great atmosphere and were so much fun to have along.
Our group of 20 porters, led by Fortu, were also fantastic. Without them this trip would not have been the same. They were incredible accommodating, friendly, and not to mention made some of the best food I’ve had while in Peru!

WOW❗️What an amazing adventure. All made possible by Ray and Tony our guides, and Fortu our cook and 19 porters.
I can highly recommend this treck and if you can get Ray or Tony as your guides it will make your experience so much better. The support and knowledge from Ray and Tony was exceptional. Also the support from Junior in the office amazing. My partner had to turn back half way through day 1 and Ray, Tony and Junior organized for him to get safely back to Cusco. Junior also helped get medical attention for him and organized for him to meet me at Machu Picchu so we could finish the Treck together.
The food on the treck was some of the best I have had in Peru, thanks Fortu. The porters did an unbelievable job carrying our gear and having everything ready when we got to camp.
The wealth of knowledge and the passion Ray has for the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu was just amazing.
I can't thank Ray and Tony enough for this unforgettable experience and for sharing their knowledge of and passion for the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu.
Thanks Roy and Tony and the Sam Travel team.

Fourtu and his porters were amazing. They absolutely humbled me with their work ethic and professionalism. I thought I was fit till I saw these porters passing me with packs 3 times the size of mine. Ray and Tony were amazing guides, they were positive and had tons of information about the trail. I wouldn’t have wanted to do the Inca trail with anyone else. If anyone wants to do the trail I couldn’t recommend this group highly enough. Ray and Tony made the trip.

This was a very well organised tour. We were briefed the day before andvgiven all the informationwe needed. All our luggage was transported to our accommodation and our bigger luggage stored. The actual trek is tough. There are a great deal of steep stone steps. Check your fitness level. Our excellent guide, Liz Montesinos got everyone through it. Overall an excellent experience.

We had a great experience with Joaquin, he shared our itinerary with us always in advance and was very helpful to find a way to accommodate our needs and wants throughout our tour. He was sincerely kind and proud of his Inca heritage. We felt safe and comfortable with him on our tour. Peru is an amazing place and Joaquin was our trusted guide through this positive, unforgettable experience. Thank you!

I did 3 days Salkantay trail with my husband. I cannot recommend it more! The trail is empty, the views are amazing, you visit Inca ruins on the way. Everything was provided by the company, so we only needed to carry small backpacks with us. The meals was prepared by an amazing cook Nerio and his assisttant Martin. The guide Nilo was very helpful, he speaks good English and he took amazing pictures of us both :D All the equipment was carried by horses and Huan was responsible for them - if you get too tired there is always a horse that can carry you for a while.
I highly recommend doing this trail with Sam Travel :)

We had an amazing time completing the 4d/3night Inca Trail with Sam's Travel. Our guide Oscar was fantastic, he was extremely knowledgeable and could answer all of our questions but also brought humour and kindness making sure everyone in the group was okay and having a good time. We were encouraged to enjoy the journey and make the most of our time. One of our group struggled with the altitude and Oscar was very supportive and made sure they completed the trail without pushing them too hard. In fact, he changed the schedule as we got behind so we didn't have to walk in the dark and could really enjoy the experience.
The porters were incredible, racing us to set up camp and cook a variety of foods including vegan options. We even had a cake on the last day!
The tents, sleeping mats and bags were very comfortable but we did find the pillows were a bit too small.
The views along the trail were spectacular and Machu Picchu was out of this world! Oscar gave us a two hour guided tour of Machu Picchu which was fascinating.
We had a small issue towards the end of our trip but Junior took our feedback and ensured we were happy customers.
Would highly recommend this company and the Inca trail, it was an incredible experience!

Christian, our guide, and Luis, our driver were amazing for the private one day full Sacred Valley Tour. We got to see Maras, Moray, Ollantaytambo, and even Chinchero. Christian was full of facts and stories about the history of all of these places. It was so fascinating to learn from him. We even had a medical emergency on our trip and had to stop at the local clinic, but he was amazing throughout. Couldn't have asked for a better guide!
