We stopped here briefly to eat our box lunches. I recommend it just for that reason alone. You can enjoy some wide views of Cusco down below. Locals mill around the church that day as did several local dogs. I did not go inside. It was my understanding that the church was supposed to be free and open to the public. However, there was a lady there charging admission to go in except she didn't seem very official. We were short on time so I didn't want to pay the high price.

A great view from the bell tower. It is worth the time. You can purchase discount tickets at the Museum of Religious Art when you purchase tickets for 3 places: San Cristobal, the Museum, and the Cusco Cathedral. William from Peru Travel Company took us to San Cristobal on our 1/2 day Cusco tour. He knew a lot about the local history and traditions. He is a great tour guide.
