About
Tercentenary Square is a cosy and hidden square, situated over Plaza de Armas; I met it casually, coming down from San Blas Square. It is an excellent belvedere if you want to "spy" the activities at Plaza de Armas, but far from "crowd". At sunset, it becames a "kissing place" for local couples, so if you are not with your sweetheart, be tactful and leave!

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was my most favourite spot in cusco, I visited this square thrice during my two day stay in cusco,it was the 25th and 26th of July 2019, the preperations were on for the independence day celebrations which was 28th july 2019,it was a lovely sight to watch the soldiers and the band troupe doing the rehearsals early in the morning at this square.

Beautiful square with lots of restaurants and some shops. On two sides the historic parts including the Cathedral with the black christ and the last supper painting with the guest appearance of the guinea pig. Statue/ waterfall in the middle

A pretty square in the center with a fountain and some lovely architecture. Nice place to get a perspective on the city, open space.

On the day we visited here the locals were preparing for the winter solstice and practicing dancing in full costume. It appears that they often practice their dancing here, although not always in costume.

Tercentenary Square ist in my opinion part of the Plaza de Armas of Cusco, but do be honest, I do not know where the real difference between both squares is. Probably the Tercentenary Square is only the inner quarter of the Plaza de Armas.... However, it is really beautiful and worth a visit.

Tercentenary Square is a section of the Plaza de Armas in Cusco and also a bustling section of the city. The square has stunning views of the churches and the Statue of Jesus. There are a plethora of restaurants and shops surrounding the square.

This is by far the best place to be in all of Cusco. The Square has spectacular views of the hills lit up at night and has so many great restaurants and places to shop at. A must do while in Cusco!

This is the Plaza de Armas, Cusco's main square & where most of the tourist activity takes place, nice places for snacks & coffee on balconies overlooking the plaza - gets chilly in the evenings so wrap up if you are going ot be there after 4pm.

Spend your time wandering Cusco and put this square on your list but don't fret if you don't make it to this spot. I suggest having a general itinerary of Cusco sites and wander. You will be constantly entertained and discover new things around every corner.
