Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Christ statue is only a 10-minute walk from the Inca ruins of Sacsayhuaman. We hiked up here for a good, free workout in preparation for a trip to 5000 meters altitude tomorrow, but we didn't want to pay the 70 soles per person entrance fee to the area with the ancient stones.

(In a few days, we'll experience Machu Picchu, and there we'll surely satisfy our desire to see ancient Inca ruins.)

Instead, we walked over to the Cristo Blanco statue, a 10-minute walk from the ticket booth at the entrance to Sacsayhuaman, and no entrance fee is required for the statue.

Buses full of tourists are dropped off at the statue, and there are sellers of all the usual touristy stuff - all of which affects the experience of the attraction. But Mr. Christ is indeed elevated enough in all his whiteness - and the three dramatic crosses next to him make an even greater impression.

On the way back from Cristo Blanco, it's possible to take some quite good photos into the Sacsayhuaman area. Completely free.

The view of Cusco is more interesting than the statue itself, particularly since the base is fenced off obstructing good photos of the statue from up close. This was a stop we made during the G Adventures Inca Trail and Machu Picchu tour.

Beautiful statue and panoramic view of the city. It is a bit of a climb. A 15 minute hike up a very steep, rocky trail that did not seem to be regularly maintained, but the view is worth it. Be aware that Uber can’t take you to the parking lot at the top. You still have to hike, but it appeared that taxi service was possible to the top.

It's a mini of Christ the Redeemer in Rio and Christ the King in Lisbon. It's smaller but NOT small, it's still quite large. Overlooks the city of Cusco and next to it are 3 crucifixes representing Christ and the 2 sinners. Beautiful views of the city.

Located on a hill overlooking Cusco is an attractive statue of Christ (Cristo Blanco), which is a mini version of Rio's Christ the Redeemer Statue. The main attraction, tho, is the view overlooking the Cusco valley -- nice views of Cusco Catedral and the Soccer Stadium. There is a tiny market of people selling clothing and crafts.

We were lucky to have a tour bus take usn up the mountain ahd stop off here for a quick look a the city. This is a great viewing platform! The views of the city, historic area and the airport are great to get your bearings.

The statue is supposed to be a small version of the Brazil "Christ the Redeemer" statue in the harbor. It is not that good or that big!

This is a popular site--there are many vendors here! That is always a real clue as to how many people show up here!
