Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The long street starts at the Municipal Complex downtown, and ends at The Plaza de Armas. It was very close to our hotel, so we had occasion to walk down it, and drive down it several times during our stay in Cuzco.

We found it to be a very busy street filled with Money Exchange Stores, Hair Cutting Stores, Souvenir Stores plus plenty of Restaurants. We felt safe walking up and down, even late in the evening. People seemed very nice and helpful.

Since it is such a busy thoroughfare, everybody gets to see it at least once while staying in this city.

Look at the architecture! Not the present buildings. But the base of the structures. As always in Cusco search for the Inca foundations. Otherwise this is just a street with curio shops and money changers.

It is teh main avenue of Cusco, ending in Plaza de Armas. There is nothing really exceptional on it, and a lot of traffic. Restaurants, shops, money exchange, but architecture overall is of little interest.

This is the central avenue in the historic centre of Cusco. Loads of hotels, restaurants, and shops are all along this street.

This is a very busy road, starting from Plaza de Armas towards the bus station and full of lively activities. There are many money exchange places along this road.

This is the main street in the historical district. Lots of great restaurants and shops and our hotel was here also. Easy to walk to everywhere we wanted to get to.

Nice walk down from the square to the station you pass Santo Domingo up on the left and little further there is a great mural depicting the evolution of the purvian people. The mural is worth a visit the street offers little else for me.

This avenue is the major road going through Cusco. Our first views were coming in from the airport but during the week we've been here we've crossed it numerous times. There are art projects, major shopping, restaurants, housing and transportation mainstay.

One of the major streets in the center of town, lined with shopping and eating, plus a lot of hotels. Buses run here and there are lots of people. Lively.

We were fortunate enough to be staying at a hotel just 6 blocks away from Plaza des Armes and walked up El Sol to access the downtown area. As you walk along this main street, you can feel very comfortable - do make a point of visiting the numerous parks and craft shops along the way. From downtown, it's slightly downhill.

Notice that there are some traffic lights - obey the signals as cars will not stop for pedestrians. Where there are no traffic lights, you must alway cross carefully as cars will stop but usually just at the last minute.
