Two weeks ago I and my parents look forward to the challenge of meeting the famous Salkantay Trek to Machupicchu, where we had the opportunity to be present there. We do not imagine the great majesty of this huge mountain called Salkantay where We could observe every detail of this nature that we saw very close to our first camp.... More

Booking the Tour with Sam from Terra Quechua was a real joke. He was telling us much things that did'n come true: 1. We four people were absolutely sure to be a little group (only us 4 so that's why we spent so much money), but we only got to know during the briefing the evening before the trail started... More

After a long day of talking with various Cusco based tour agencies, we booked the 5d/4n Salkantay Trek via Terra Quechua. Here's what they sold us vs. what actually happened: 1. We were 4 people and agreed to a price for a trek with just the 4 of us. / At the briefing the night before the trek we learned... More

We booked our tour in advance with Terra Quechua. Looking back we probably over-paid compared to other trek companies. We have a mixed feeling about the tour. On the positive side: Our guide Sam took us to the most beautiful places other tours didn't visit. We learned a lot about the culture and history in and around Machu Picchu. The... More

We did the 4 day 3 night Salkany Trek with Hugo and had the best time! We had a wide variety of age and exercise levels in our group and Hugo did a great job catering the trek to our needs and wants. We had such a memorable time, and were able to visit a variety of places. Everything was... More

His trek was amazing. 5 friends joined 6 other travelers for what turned into an amazing trekking group. Our guide, Sam, was amazing, friendly knowledgeable and fun. The food was spectacular and there was plenty of it. My only real issue with Terra Quechua is that we prepayed $100 for a horse to trek with us on the ascent on... More

I had a fabulous time on the Salkantay Trek with Terra Quechua. We were 5 persons in total and had two guides which were both really friendly, caring and shared a lot of information about the nature, culture etc. We also had two cooks, which cooked the best meals I have eaten in Peru. We even could try cuy one... More

I completed the Salkantay trek in Peru this September and it was one of the most memorable travel experiences I ever had. They pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and guide you through a mountainous path that includes amazing scenery (varying from high altitude lakes to cloud forest valleys), camping and dining in the wild, observing wildlife in...
