I did the 5 day Ausangate trek and we loved it!!!
Thanks to a recommendation from a family member I contacted the travel agency TERRA QUECHUA PERU, and I booked the Ausangate trek for 5 days with my friends, the truth is that they are very responsible, attentive, in general very recommendable, they made me spend some unforgettable days. The trek was challenging, but the views and the accommodation were worth it. I was amazed at how our guide Camilo seemed to be on friendly terms with every person we met. He made a great example of how Ausangate Trek seeks to connect and give back to the communities we passed through and it was a lot of fun, I also want to thank Moises because the food was amazing. Overall, a great experience. Highly recommended A little advice for travellers doing the Ausangate trek, try to do it when you are acclimatised and you will have a great time. .... Greetings

    Hiking in the Peruvian Andes
We hired the service of Terra Quechua Peru to hike around the Ausangate mountain, we had the full package that includes everything in your tour, so you do not need to pay extra, it took 5 days climbing from 4, 300 to 5, 200 meters, honestly it is a very challenging hike however, it is worth it! The views are incredible, lakes, valleys, glaciers and many snow capped mountains, llamas and alpacas everywhere make it an unreal place. The food and camping equipment were excellent and in good condition, they always take care of everyone in the group.... we will definitely recommend you!

    Local personal guide for Ausangate
Just wanted to recommend Hernán Quispe as a guide for solo trips or group trips. There are so many operators which offer great luxurious service and if you can afford it great but going directly with a local guide especially if you have your own equipment or just need the minimum is a much more affordable option and you have the entire mountain to yours usually without all the clatter. Hernán was excellent highly recommended. Look him up "Ausangate Triumph" or hernanquispecrispin on g mail.

Ausangate Trek An Unforgettable Adventure with Local Trekkers Peru
My friends and I did the Ausangate trek of 6 days and 5 nights at the end of October this year, we did it with Local Trekkers Peru, and we could not have chosen better. Alberto, the manager, provided us with good quality camping equipment with 4-season tents, inflatable mattresses and sleeping bags that kept us very warm during the cold nights. Our guide was Roberto, who was knowledgeable and friendly, sharing fascinating stories about the region while taking us through amazing landscapes. Choosing strategic campsites allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the natural beauty that this part of the Andes offers. Plus, the attention to detail. Aurelio was our muleteer, In charge of transporting all the logistics that make this trek possible, he was always in a good mood and ready to help us with everything we needed. Our Cook was Timoteo, his food was great, abundant for everyone in the group and of course very delicious, thank you very much Timoteo for feeding us very well during this challenge and for having made each day a memorable experience. That is why we would highly recommend Local Trekkers Peru to anyone looking to explore the Ausangate Park and its surrounding areas. Thank you for making this trip an unforgettable adventure. We hope to travel again with this agency in the future!"

I had the privilege of undertaking the Ausangate Trek towards the end of the season and was fortunate to be greeted by favourable weather conditions. The panoramic views that unfolded before my eyes were truly extraordinary, showcasing a harmonious blend of vibrant colours. From the charming villages nestled deep within the Andes to the captivating lagoons, undulating valleys adorned with alpacas, and mountains adorned in a kaleidoscope of hues, each moment was a visual feast for the senses.

Undoubtedly, navigating the high passes presented a significant challenge due to the altitude. However, I had taken the necessary precautions and spent four days acclimatising in Cusco, participating in other high-altitude hikes. This preparation proved invaluable as it allowed me to traverse the demanding terrain with relative ease. The Ausangate Trek offers an untamed and exhilarating experience of trekking in the high mountains. It is important to note that the weather can change suddenly, and the early morning temperatures often drop below -7°C. Nonetheless, the rewards far outweigh the obstacles faced. The awe-inspiring vistas that unveil at every turn are a testament to the untouched beauty of this region, and the tranquillity experienced on this trail sets it apart from other, more crowded hikes originating from Cusco.

My friends and I, 4 people in total, did the Ausangate trek with Local Trekkers Peru, and we finished with a visit to the rainbow mountain. we booked this trek a few months in advance, and we did it in October of last year, long before the political unrest began in Peru. I just wanted to share my experience, which was great, also we had a very good weather during the 4 days of trekking. The views and landscapes are spectacular in this part of the Cusco region, and with our guide Raul and our cook Timoteo they did everything so that all of us in the group had an experience to talk about for the rest of our lives. I hope Peru recovers soon from the situation it is going through and of course I highly recommend Local Trekkers Peru as a reliable trek operator.

Insane landscapes all through out! Very remote but what a sacred experience, jaw-dropping views of so many mountains! I went through Huaynas Expeditions in Cusco as my guide, can't recommend them enough!

Trekking with Ernan Quispe and his son Segundino. It was a wonderful experience. The trekking itself was challenging but Ernan made us the best food possible. The equipment is all you need. His phone number is +51 984 134 098. He speaks spanish but has someone who does the English communication, Nick: +52 33 1924 5974.

Our Ausangte trek 4 days was amazing, We did it with Local Trekkers Peru at the beginning of October of this year, luckily we had a very good weather the 4 days of trekking. Raúl was an excellent guide, very experienced in this trek, he was always encouraging us in the most difficult parts. This is one of the hardest hikes in the Cusco region, since you always walk over 4000 meters of altitude, but with Raul we never felt insecure, he always asked us how we were or how our physical condition was and he never rushed us, he always walked at our own pace. besides knowing a lot about the area, the culture, the landscapes and the ecosystems. he is a walking librar. The food was very good, you have to eat very well especially when you expend a lot of energy, fortunately we had Aurelio our Cook or better known as the Andean master chef, the dishes he prepared had the perfect balance of protein and carbohydrates, in addition to presenting them with very beautiful decorations, the food was plentiful, enough for everyone in the group. Some dishes we tried were the best we tried during our stay in Cusco. Bravo Aurelio, applause for you. Finally, we would like to thank our muleteer who with his horses, helped to move the things and the camping equipment from one place to another, without him this adventure would not have been possible, since to do this trek you have to carry a lot of logistics such as food, camping equipments, by the way were all of great quality. For all this if someone is looking to do the Ausangate Trek and does not know how to do it or with which company to go and above all wants to feel safe all the time, do it with Local Trekkers Peru, with them you will have the perfect balance of safety, professionalism and fun.
