Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I was quite surprised to find myself bored in an Inkan museum.
The rich culture and heritage of the Inka empire is somewhat lost in its 20 rooms, with many displays of artifacts lacking any meaningful description. Moreover, some displays aren’t even translated into English- frustrating since Cusco is one of Peru’s most visited cities.
I would have liked to see more effort put into the displays- perhaps some interactive displays and more detailed descriptions.
Unfortunately, this was my most disappointing stop in Cusco.

This museum has great potential, nice old palace, interesting artefacts and information. However, it is neglected, worn down and desperately needs updating. Very few interactive displays, most of the interactive displays were out of order.

Our favourite was definitely the Inca’s mummies and the skulls. Shame that some of the description was in Spanish only, some of the description was so old and outdated. The lighting is also poor in some areas.

The ticket was reasonable (10 S).

Nice historical museum. Great artifacts, but the graphics were not detailed enough to tell the history with any detail. It was worth the time, but we didn’t leave with much new knowledge that we didn’t gain during our tours of the area.

We really enjoyed our visit to this small museum. The displays were informative and the explanations were in both English and Spanish, making it easy to understand the exhibits. The museum is not huge but the collection is nice and informative. It is worth stopping in if you have time while in Cusco.

This museum was interesting. Museum building not in good shape. This was probably the best museum, we went into in Peru which is not saying much.

The Inca museum, just off the main square in Cusco is well worth a visit. Interesting Incan artefacts. Very reasonable entrance fee (10 sol).

This museum offers the Yalu University collection taken back to the US by Hiram Bingham. It was recently returned to Peru and is well worth a visit.

Spent about an hour and a half walking through this museum and found it quite interesting. Most of the signs explaining the various exhibits are in Spanish, but there are enough English translations that you can follow along. In the middle of the museum is a courtyard
where you can watch women weaving using traditional methods, which I found fascinating.

Wasn’t impressed. Some nice artifacts but there are better museums to see them in. Not well organized and looks like I built the displays. Was champ and easy to walk through if you have the time.

Having gone to Machu Picchu, Pisac ruins, and rather immersed in Inka knowledge, we were curious to see more at the museum. It is dimly lit, and some of the translations are a bit wonky, but it didn't affect our experience negatively, and we really enjoyed seeing so many artifacts and seeing it organized by the different regions/tribes. If you have an hour, I definitely recommend, and it's right of the main Plaza.
