Looks impressive from the outside but is more impressive on the inside. However, you do need to have a guide or some sort of book to really help you appreciate the uniqueness and beauty. We were here when all the statues had been brought in for a celebration from surrounding churches and it was very amazing to see.

This was a part of my City Tour, not something I would have picked otherwise. Was nothing but impressed once inside. So much more than you expect, an absolutely glorious place. Also I'm not religious and still throughly enjoyed the history and architecture.

I thought the Basilica was just the center section; I neglected to notice that on each side of the main Basilica are two attached cathedrals.... all are connected and open to one another on the inside. If you've made it the Plaza, don't miss seeing the inside of this Basilica.

Quite a site that dominates the plaza. The Cathedral is worth seeing, and taking in all the art etc. A bit expensive though at 25s per person.

If you are even slightly interested in architecture and history you will enjoy a tour of this building. The interior is quite spectacular and the workmanship visible in every aspect & artwork is fantastic. Take the self guided tour or just wander and marvel at the 'over the top' decoration, you can't help but be impressed. The only thought that... More

The Cathedral is the center of the lives of the people of Cusco. The majority of all who live in Cusco are Catholic. The architecture is stunning and the interior truly speaks to the history of the town beautifully. It is located in the Plaza in the center of Cusco. So, there is also lots to do and see in... More

Not the prettiest of religious building from the outside and was not expecting much. Was I wrong! When we entered we had to leave some id e.g. driving licence to borrow a tablet and headphones. It was already set-up to hear English speaking guide (multiple languages available). Off we went being directed by pictures of what we should be looking... More

This cathedral was certainly worth a visit. Very ornate and traditional interior. More gold and silver than in many other Catholic churches/cathedrals. Great area of the city to wander.

This was one of the most ornate architectural structures I have ever seen. Tremendous replicas of art work. Numerous great statues and floats. This is truly a must to see if you are in this area
