Relaxing at night for a walk

Massive square in the heart of the city. A great place to take a walk after dinner with churches, shops and a big fountain in the middle.

This place is beautiful, people in every corner, ideal if you want to meet people or hang out, also the ideal meeting place. I give just a very good to this place cause its not my favorite Plaza de Armas in Peru, my favorite is Arequipa´s cause there i could sat and read a book and just relax.

I absolutely love this plaza. It's got old cathedrals and restaurants all around and the center is like a park, with a huge fountain with Pachacuti statue on top of it, and park benches to sit around the plaza. Night time is especially special because of all the wonderful lights.

It is a great meeting place in Cusco and for sure a nice place to hang if you want to relax and take your time. It is a bit inconvenient due to lots of people selling hand made crafts, so pay also attention to your wallet. Sunday mornings you can enjoy parades.

No cars allowed here, so feel free to roam! Lots to look at and lots of amazing energy. Be prepared to say "no thank you" to offers of massages and trinkets. SO MUCH HISTORY to be seen!

This beautifully maintained town center is the heart beat of cusco, peru...Many fabulous restaurants and bars are available to tourists from around the world. Nights are early mornings are a bit chilly. Bring a hat. Be curious! This town has a lot to offer. Don't make the mistake of leaving too soon!

The main square in Cusco is filled with lovely and interesting architecture and churches surrounded by traditional shops selling mainly alpaca clothing. We very much enjoyed wandering the square and the only reason that it receives a 4 instead of 5 stars is the extreme dog problem that they have in the square. It is my understanding that people own... More

The plaza was close to our hotel so we went for the short 3 block walk to see it. Nice churches on a couple of the sides of the plaza. Too many vendors haranguing the tourists however. It gets a little annoying -- somewhat surprising or not I guess, to see 5 year olds hawking trinkets to everyone.

Decorated with a central fountain and surrounded by beautiful buildings, this is the heart of the tourist area in Cusco. Excellent restaurants and shops with top quality (expensive) goods ring the open plaza. This is the place to disco, dine and meet up for tourists and upper crust natives alike.
