Steep streets, but beautiful shops. Away from the touristy shops near the plaza, San Blas shops offer authentic Peruvian weavings, art and pottery. Restaurants are less crowded at times, and much more tasty.

San Blas is a typical and cosy Peruvian, square, exactly like you expect it in a colonial city like Cuzco. Worth the walk !

We stayed at a hotel which was located in San Blas, just a few steps from the Plaza of San Blas. San Blas Plaza is, more or less, anchored by the Church of San Blas and a primary school. There are a number of convenient shops either in the Plaza or on the streets that emanate from the Plaza. There... More

Ended up there during our walking tour and came back one evening. Plenty of bars and great places for dinner (some with excellent views over the city). Well worth a visit while in Cusco

Lots of narrow streets with little boutiques and galleries in this area. It is a fairly steep walk up from the old town, but worth a couple of hours to stroll around and soak up the ambience.

A short ten mins walk from the main square but uphill. You can get a nice panoramic view of the surrounding towns. Many nice unique art and craft shops around too! Drop by if you are free!

My wife and I took a short taxi ride from our hotel to the San Blas neighborhood. As is mentioned elsewhere it has its own small Square with lots of small artisan shops. I think we visited all of them as my wife enjoyed talking with many of the artists and vendors. It was a very pleasant visit and we... More

Stayed up on San Blas hill in 2 different hotels (both excellent) over the course of 5 days. I loved being in the city of Cusco, but also the feeling of being separate as well once you ascend the hill to San Blas. Restaurants, cafes, museums, viewpoints, a beautiful little plaza of its own. San Blas is great.
