Amazing how the Incas machined the stones so perfectly flat! The Christo Blanco is also another great nearby attraction. Both are a must see!

Outstanding example of Incan fortification system and spiritual temple. Great hike back into town too!

One of the popular Inca's ruins. Closer to cusco , you just need a 10 sol taxi ride to reach here. Beautiful inca structures. Amazed to see the skills of Incas in building this fortress

The views of Cusco from the top of the ruins are impressive. And like all Inka ruins, it's awesome to see the engineering that they used.

It was really nice to walk among these impressiv ruins. Despite the tourists, the atmosphere is peaceful and nice. Great views of the White Christ as well.

When going to Machu Picchu I had not expected to visit so many other locations with so much history, views, and altitude. Outstanding!

Very worthwhile and just a short taxi ride or even a walk from the city centre is you are acclimatised. I would strongly recommend using a guide though as the ruins are extensive. Great panorama view over the city.

When you tour Cusco and stand before the ruins of Sacsayhuaman, take a long moment and look up at those terraced zig-zagging walls. Try to picture the fortress temple as it looked 500 years ago during the reign the Inca.
