Rainbow Mountain in One Day from Cusco

235 reviews
Journey deep into the Andes to hike Rainbow Mountain, an important worship site since pre-Inca times. With a mountain guide, safely explore the rainbow-striated mountain and see sights including adobe houses, llama herds, and the Ausangate Glacier. Plus, by going with a group, you bypass the stress of choosing the right trail or organizing your own transport from Cusco. Pack light for this challenging full-day hike: breakfast and lunch are provided.

We had an amazing time with this class. We did it during COVID and while precautions were taken, it did not negatively impact the experience. Chef Jose was knowledgeable, attentive and made the class very enjoyable. We highly recommend taking this class.

Being able to make and try specialties of Peru in an intimate setting. The history behind the meals, the description of the ingredients and the actual cooking and drink making made the experience whole!

I often do cooking classes when I'm vacationing ion a country, and the Marcelo Batata course was among the most informative I've done, with the chef providing a detailed overview and history of the the dishes we prepared and Peruvian cuisine more broadly, including a discussion of many of the ingredients unique to Peru. Would definitely recommend!

We were not sure what this cooking class was going to be like, but we learned so much about the history of food, culture, diversity of not only culinary history but how gastronomy evolved in Peru. Chef Alejandro was amazing with the fruit tasting experience, followed by the dried pantry. We were given a chance to taste a few entrees which we loved immensely. Cooking cerviche, making cocktails including Pisco Sour was an experience. Learned so much about Pisco and it’s history. More cooking in a relaxing atmosphere, and eating our own cooked dinner was a treat. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Cusco, it is a must do!!!

It was amazing experience with Chef Alesandro. He has a lot of history and culinarily knowledge, detailed explanation was awesome. Also they have good equipment and facilities. I was impressed by the small food garage. It has various kind of potatoes, corns, quinoa and etc. I definitely recommend this cooking class.
